Gina stood in front of the elevator impatiently. if Alex was going to avoid her calls and messages, then maybe if she showed up at his office, he wouldn't be able to avoid her anymore. She took out the office card that Michelle had given her and walked into the elevator with a smile on her face. She wasn't going to lose such a catch when her sister was planning on marrying Charles Dawson, one of the most eligible bachelor in the city and the second son of the Dawson family... He had a trust fund that would never run dry... She couldn't stand all of Joan's bragging and wanted to aim higher. She didn't want a second son she wanted the heir of the family, and Alex was the one who had caught her eyes. Thankfully, Caroline, one of her best customers, just happened to be his aunt and brought Michelle his mother to her boutique. She had easily woed the woman, and now her plans were on tracks, but the main person who she needed for the plans to finally work out was trying to prove stubborn and avoid her. She had to prove to Michelle that she was the perfect daughter in law... Gina used the card Michelle had given her to gain access without being questioned by the guards, and she immediately blended in and went up straight to the Office of the Chairman... She glanced at her reflection in the elevator and smiled. She knew she was beautiful... she made sure she looked extra beautiful today.... she got to the first floor where his office was and came out of the elevator... she walked towards the door that led to the hid secretary office, her head high with confidence... Gina pushed the door and walked in. She walked straight to the office that was meant for his secretaries and cleared her throat... Patrick, who was on the phone, looked up at her. He looked behind Gina and looked completely confused about how she got in here. "I'm here to see alex," Gina said with confidence... "Do you have an appointment?" Patrick asked her. The other secretary exchanged confused looks with Patrick... "No, I don't, but his mother gave this to me." She brought out a card from her purse and handed it to Patrick. it was a card that had access to the company. what was Michelle up to... "You must be Patrick," She said and looked down on him. Michelle had told her before she left that Patrick was Alex personal assistant... "Yes, I'm Patrick. If you would just leave your name, I will let Mr Graham know that you were here," Patrick said, trying to ward this strange woman off who looked oddly familiar. he could tell that he had seen her somewhere before, but he just couldn't place his hand on it... "Is something going on here?" A deep familiar voice interrupted, and the three of them turned to see who the voice belonged to. Patrick eyes grew wide when he saw a man walking towards the secretary office... he could see the look of shock on both the strange woman and Olivia, the other secretary face... "Mr Graham!" Patrick said and stood up abruptly. This wasn't Alex Graham. It was Daniel Graham... Alex's uncle, who was supposed to be away on a business trip and hadn't shown up for three years... Why was he here all of a sudden. What the hell was happening today... Gina quickly recovered from her shock... It looked like she was staring at an older version of Alex... The resemblance was uncanny... "Mr Graham," She said in a low voice and immediately put on one of her sweetest smiles that made people fall for her... she walked to the man she had never met before in her life and stretched forth her hand for a handshake. "Nice to meet you, sir. I'm Gina Dawson." Gina said, her smile becoming wider... Daniel's eyes travelled from her face and then to her stretched Out hand, and then his eyes travelled behind her. He right past Gina and headed to where Patrick was, leaving Gina with her hand still stretched out... The sweet smile on her face immediately faltered... "Is Alex in his office?" Daniel said to Patrick, who still looked surprised to see him. "No... no sir... he stepped out for a bit but will return soon. " Patrick almost stuttered... Daniel nodded and smiled at Patrick. "I will wait in his office then... you can call him to let him know I'm here, " He said and walked away towards Alex office. Patrick immediately tapped Olivia, who was watching a drama unfold... Olivia stood up quickly and followed after Daniel... While Gina still remained in the same spot, her hand fisted... she swallowed, her pride hurt and started to walk away without looking back... she walked straight to the elevator and left... "Gina Dawson," Patrick muttered as he dialled Alex's number... His eyes grew slightly wide when he finally remembered where he heard the name from... She was the person Michelle had set up on a blind date with Alex, and he had rejected even before asking Alex about it. It was no wonder she gave him such a dirty look... did she know he was the one who sent her that message... Was she going to be potential daughter in law, he could tell she was a potentially good actress when she stretched Out her hand for an handshake with Daniel Graham and smiled brightly at him trying to get on his good side, like she had not given him such a dirty look moment ago. She was one of those ladies who became good actress till they finally achieved their good. She was going to be a pain he could tell... ____________________ ____________________ Alex phone vibrated, and he checked it to see that it was a call from Patrick and the last time he had ignored a call from him, his mother was at his house. he just hoped it wasn't something that annoyed him. "What do you want?" Alex said in a cold voice... "Sir, your uncle is back... Alex froze in where he stood, and Patrick had to call out to him at the end of the line. "Sir!" Patrick said, and Alex finally answered him."I will there soon, " He said before ending the call. he turned to look at juliet, who was drinking for the bottle of water he had given her. He sighed deeply as he walked back to where she was seated... " I have to go," Alex said, and the smile on Juliet's face immediately dissipated. why was he leaving so soon. "They need me at work," He lied, and she mouthed the word "oh. "... "You should get going then ,you don't want your boss to get mad at you," She said, and Alex almost smiled at the mention of his boss. How would she react if she knew he was his own boss... "I'm so sorry...I will call your I promise..." Alex said, a little sad that his dinner plans had been ruined... she nodded and stood up and her phone vibrated in her pocket. She took it out and saw an unknown number. "That is my number," Alex said, and she nodded again, gripping the bottle water in her hand when he stared deeply into her eyes before turning to leave... Juliet stood in the same spot watching him walk away... She her heart racing in her chest... She knew she was starting to develop a crush for this handsome stranger...
