"she asked me to come to her wedding," Juliet said and handed Alex the invitation card that Gina had given to her. "What was your response?" He asked, and a slight smile appeared on her face. "I didn't give her one," Juliet answered. Alex didn't even know what to say. He wasn't sure what they had talked about or if Juliet had forgiven her for what she did, but Juliet didn't seem mad anymore... she seemed a bit happy about the wedding. "She doesn't seem like a bad person," Juliet added because she had an inkling of what Alex might be thinking about in his mind... After speaking to Gina for a while, she could tell that she was someone with deep trauma from abandonment from her mother and although some people might perceive her as cold on the outside she was a lot warmer on the inside... she could see the happiness in her eyes as they spent time with Gladystheyand it strangely made her feel relieved that she was fine. Alex watched as a smile appeared on Juliet's face... Juliet rested her head back on Alex's shoulder and closed her eyes... "I think it's time you made yourself with your cousin too," She muttered, but Alex said nothing. he hadn't spoken to Charles since he left his office that day, and Alex was aware of the wedding plans. He sighed deeply and shook his head. "he should have reached out to me first," he said, and Juliet's eyes fluttered open. That was the reason she invited them over for dinner because she knew Alex was going to say this. She said nothing to him for a while before she raised her head from his shoulder so she could see his face well. "I invited the both of them over for dinner. You two can make up then, and also,o, we are going to their wedding." Juliet said firmly, and Alex bit back a smile because of how freaking gorgeous she looked as she spoke firmly to him... he leaned closer and planted a kiss on her lips, and Juliet immediately melted like butter. "I'm serious right now," She said, even though a lingering smile had appeared on her face... she was trying her best not to smile brightly, and Alex saw this as an opportunity to plant another kiss on her nose and then her cheeks. she couldn't help it anymore... "I'm serious too," he whispered close to her ear. She bit her lips when he started to trail his kisses down her neck... she swallowed and stood up abruptly because she knew exactly where his kisses were leading, too, and if she didn't stand up, then she wouldn't be able to resist him... "You wanted me to be serious," Alex said and raised both of his hands in surrender. Juliet shook her head and rolled her eyes playfully at him, and when Alex stood up, she took a step away from him, a bright smile appearing on her beautiful face... "Alex, stop!" she said. When he took a step closer to her, Alex nodded, but he didn't listen. She gasped when he picked her up and started to plant butterfly kisses all over her face, causing her to giggle uncontrollably... ____________________ ___________________ Charles was back from work already when Gina arrived home... the mood she was in when she walked in wasn't the same mood she was in when she had left earlier that day... she was in a completely elated mood and immediately ran into his arms and planted multiple kisses on his face and cheeks... "I was just about to call you," Charles said and planted a soft kiss on her lips.. she had a bright smile on her face as she took off her shoes and threw her bag on the couch. "I got a new friend," Gina said and headed to the bedroom, Charles following behind her so he could find out the cause of her great mood... Gina walked into her closet and started to take off the jewellery while Charles stood at the entrance waiting for her to tell him who her new friend was... "I ran into Juliet today," She said and turned to look at him "and we made up, I invited her to the wedding and she invited the both of us over for dinner," She said to Charles, who had a mixture of confusion and surprise in his eyes... he walked into the closet and stood beside her so she could narrate everything that happened to him. "What? How and when? Did she come to your boutique? did she come with Alex?" He asked, and Gina gestured for him to take a breather so she could explain everything to him. She drew out of the chair from her vanity table and took a seat while Charles rested his back on the table... "she gave me her business card, too," Gina said and stood up. She walked to where her phone was and came back... Charles watched in silence as Gina dialled up the number on the business card, and they both waited as the phone rang till there was an answer... Gina went on to tell Charles about everything that happened, and she didn't miss the look of surprise on his face as she went on... "I was surprised when I saw her.... she was the last person I was expecting to see at that moment, " Gina said and let out a deep sigh. She missed Gladys already and wished she could make a proper visit for her soon... this time, she was going to bring a gift to thank her for her kindness... " "Hi, it's me, Gina," Gina said, her eyes on Charles, who was standing in front of her. "Will you be free tomorrow night?" Gina asked, and there was a short silence for a few seconds before she finally spoke again "Okay that sounds lovely then... thank you for today, " She said, and a smile appeared on her face as she listened to Juliet."Good night, " she said and ended the call so she could give Charles feedback on their conversation. "We will have dinner with them tomorrow night," Juliet said, and Charles grew silent. He hadn't reached out to Alex after crashing out at him at his office, and now they were going to have dinner together like nothing happened. "Are you worried about how Alex would react?" Gina asked, and Charles sighed deeply. "I think it's time for you both to make up; I don't want you to disagree with him... if she is inviting us over for dinner, then I guess he wants to make up with you too," Gina said. Charles nodded, his hand wrapped around her waist, and he drew her closer to his body and rested his head on her shoulder. "I can't believe that you are going to be my wife it feels like a dream to me...you have no idea how excited I am to call you my wife," Charles said and raised his head to look at her... he was in love and she was in love too.. she couldn't wait to be his wife and to wake up next to him every day for the rest of her life... she looked forward to it... Charles leaned closer and captured her lips, and her heart melted for him...
