"I shouldn't be here," Gina muttered to herself as she sat in her car... she sighed deeply and raised the card in her hand up... Why couldn't she stop thinking about this 'Charles' The words he had said to her before he left that day kept ringing in her mind over and over again and now she was here in the parking lot of his bar and even though she didn't want to admit it a part of her hoped he would pass by so she could at least get a glimpse of him... What right did he have to say those words to her...
She was about to start her car engine and drive away from the parking lot, but her hair stopped midair... He probably wouldn't be there all the time... she tried to convince herself not to go... Gina gave her head a little shake before she opened her car door and came out of her car... Her sunglasses, which she always took with her, were in her right hand and her bag in the other... Her heart raced as she walked to the entrance of the bar... "Let's see the private room then," Gina muttered to herself, and as soon as she pushed open the door of the entrance, her heart stopped... There he was, standing right in front of her! why was he here! Gina's eyes immediately grew wide, and she turned away, but it was too late... he had seen her already...
Charles didn't plan on coming to his bar but the manager had called him and he decided to show up, with a little glint of hope that the interesting lady he met would show up and here she was trying to hide her face from him... He had a feeling she would show up sooner or later, but he doubted that he would meet her again, just after a few days... She was still interesting as the first time he had met her...
"Hi," He said to her, and Gina cursed under her breath... She couldn't even be mad because she came there herself...
"Gina," He said again and walked to her front... Gina slowly raised her head to look at him, and he had that annoying smile on his face.... why did he always look so happy? It annoyed her because she was the contrast. she had nothing to make her smile like he did... Was his life easy... he probably didn't have things to worry about like she did...
She looked away and cleared her throat... "I came as a customer today, and I can get home by myself," Gina said firmly before she turned away and walked into the bar... leaving would make her look like she was affected by his presence...
Charles, who was about to leave, decided a few more hours there wouldn't kill him... He walked back into the bar also following behind her, and he didn't miss her glancing to see if he was still behind her... Their eyes met, and she quickly looked away...
Why was he following her now! Gina gritted her teeth as she walked to the counter... Of course he was here he owned the place and probably worked here... She wanted to face palm herself for thinking he wouldn't be. she just hoped he wouldn't speak to her... she knew the workers at her boutique had new things to gossip about her...
"I was given this," Gina said and handed the card to the bartender... The bartender stared at the card in his hand and then at Charles, who was standing behind Gina. Charles nodded, and the bartender called someone to lead Gina to the private room in the bar...
Gina turned to look at him one last time as she walked away... he no longer had that smile on his face, but he was staring at her... It made her swallow and look away. What was she even doing here... maybe after a while, she would try to leave quietly...
"Excuse me, sir... I thought that room for you only you, " Josh, the bartender, asked when Charles took a seat on a bar and stood near the counter... "Yes, it was, and now she can use it if she wants... let her use it anytime she wants even though I'm not here and make sure to call a taxi for her if she gets too drunk or call me. " Charles instructed, and josh nodded. He wondered if they had met each other before... It didn't seem like they were in a relationship to why his boss nice to her... was it a one-sided crush... It seemed that way. He just hoped His boss knew what he was getting into because from what he had witnessed, it seemed she had a nasty temper.
Gina sat in the private room... her eyes scanning her surroundings... The room was silent and bigger than she had expected... It didn't look like a room many people used, probably one person... "What would you like Ma'am" The man who had led her to the room asked... "A bottle of wine," She answered and told him the type of wine... the man left, and she could finally sighed out...
Finally some peace and quiet... the man came back a few minutes later with the bottle of wine, and she told him he could leave... She wanted to be alone... Gina poured herself a glass and rested her back... she closed her eyes as she took a sip from the wine...
How was she going to deal with Alex... she had no idea what to do anymore. Michelle had not spoken to her for a while, and she didn't even bother to call...
Was it time for her to look for someone else... thinking about it alone, exhausted... she wished she could just stay alone for the rest of her life... Just live in peace and do whatever she wanted without her day pressuring her...
Her eyes slowly fluttered open and was brimming with tears... Gina blinked back her tears and took another sip from her wine... she couldn't afford to cry... she had no one to console her, so what was the use of sheding a tear...
maybe when she finally achieved her goal she could be happy... but she knew deep down that could never happen... she wad destined to be unhappy
