Gina sat in her new place of solace... Charles bar... Thankfully, the room wasn't always occupied anytime she came... She had walked into the bar a while back, and her eyes had scanned for him, but she couldn't find him... She wasn't sure why, but her mood had become dampened... "Does he work somewhere else?" Gina muttered as she took a sip from her drink... A few minutes later, like her wish had come the door to the room slowly opened to reveal Charles... He had a deep frown on hisbface but stopped as he was about to enter their roon when he saw Gina settled there... Her eyes were slightly wide like she was surprised to see him... He was a bit surprised to see her too. no one had told him she was here and he had come to his bar so he could have some quiet time to himself... He couldn't even bring himself to tell her to leave because he was the one who told her she could come anytime she wanted... Charles sighed deeply and walked into the room...
He took a seat at the end of the round sofa in the room a space from Gina and said nothing to her... He wasn't in the mood for making conversation... he was still mad about the conversation he had with his mother before he left the house... it was the first time he ever talked back at her... But he didn't feel guilty. That was what made him even madder...
"Hi, I'm saying it since you are completely ignoring my presence, " Gina said to Charles, and he finally turned to look at her... Even though Gina didn't want to admit it, she had become excited when he walked in... she didn't want to be alone and somehow enjoyed his company, but why did he look so down today... Did he have a bad day... it was odd to see him this way when he always looks so...jolly...
"Can I have from your drink then?" Charles asked, and Gina slowly nodded... he got up and walked to the small minibar in the room that he had built for himself... he picked up a wine glass and walked back to where Gina was seated... this time, he didn't sit at the far end of the chair... but closer to her, not too close... He poured himself a glass of wine and drank it whole at one... Gina eyes were on him... wondering what was going on with him... Maybe he had problems like her, and she had thought wrong...
... Charles picked up wine again and poured himself another second glass of wine... "I need a drink today too," He said and took a sip from the red wine...
"Are you alright?" Gina asked, and he shook his head... "No, I'm not." Charles said... How could he be okay when his mom was planning something that could cause a drift between him and Alex... He couldn't even try to talk to her...
"Do you mind if i shared it with you?" Charles asked... he had no one he could share his problems with and especially not his cousin...
Gina hated the look he had on his face. It somehow reminded her of herself and how she was mostly in a nasty mood.. she found herself nodding for him to share his problems with her, maybe it could make him feel better... "I had a small argument with my mom during dinner tonight," Charles said in a low voice and took another sip from his wine...
"She wants to set me up with someone... but I don't want to be set up, especially not with that person," Charles continued... it made a slight smile appear on Gina's face... why was he in a similar predicament as her...
"Do you find my problems funny?" Charles asked when he saw the smile on Gina's face...
"No, it's not that... it's just a bit similar to..." She trailed off when she realised she almost told him about herself...
"Similar to you." Charles completed her words for her, and Gina looked away and almost cursed under her breath... a smile appeared on Charles face too...
Gina almost smiled too when she saw he was smiling now and no longer had that frown on... it made her feel relieved...
"So what are you going to do about it... are you going to do what She says?" She inquired, her curiosity getting the better of her... it made her a bit upset to know that he might get engaged to some girl, and Gina had the urge of telling him not to let his mother have her way... but she held her tongue... she knew nothing about him or his family, so who was she to tell him what to do...
"I don't think I would be able to anymore... I met someone else, " Charles answered, and Gina's heart skipped a bit... Her face became flushed, for a second she thought he was talking about her but she immediately pushed the thought away... there was no way he was talking about her... She decided not to ask him anymore questions, but Charles wasn't done talking... "She is quite interesting, and she had my interest held... I think she will for a long time... she makes me curious about her each time I see her. " The smile on Charles face widened, and Gina's heart started to race uncontrollably...
she picked up her ring glass and started to drink fast from it... it must be the alcohol for sure... it was because of it, it has to be, why else would her freaking heart be racing like this...
Gina dropped the wine glass and stood up abruptly... the room suddenly became hot, it didn't help that Charles was sitting close to her and smiling like that... why did he look so damn handsome while smiling...
"I should get going..." Gina said and was about to pick her bag, but Charles held her hand, stopping her... She yelped and immediately drew her hand back... her heart rate had increased...
