Saturday came by really fast, and Alex was up early for his trip with juliet to the countryside... "Oh my!" Juliet said an hour before their departure... "What's wrong?" Alex asked in confusion because of her reaction, and she sighed deeply. "Don't we have to bring something with us... we can't possibly go empty-handed, " She said. like it was a big issue, but alex didn't see a problem with that... he had visited his uncle a few times over the last couple of years. but he hadn't bothered to bring something with him, and his uncle hadn't asked either... "I not sure that is something for us to worry about," He said, but juliet shook her head and started to pace around the room... Alex sighed deeply and folded his hand across his chest as he watched juliet trouble herself with a trivial matter, but since the matter wasn't trivial to her, he thought of a solution... "How about a bottle of wine then?" Alex suggested, and juliet stopped in her tracks... she turned to look at him and nodded... Alex stood up and left her alone in the living room... her eyes followed him as he walked over to the mini bar and picked out a bottle of an expensive looking vintage wine... "This would do... I think my aunt would appreciate this," He said, and juliet nodded... they were soon ready to leave... Alex had asked his driver to leave for the day and decided he was going to drive the both of them on a six hour journey since there was no way he could land his jet close to his uncle house... "Is this going to be like a road trip?" juliet asked as she stood beside Alex and watched as he put the little luggage they had packed for their weekend at his uncle's... "A road trip," Alex repeated, and she nodded... Alex, who had never been on a road trip in his life, nodded and watched as her face brightened up... anything she wanted... They got into the car and got their road trip started... but just an hour into the ride, juliet had fallen asleep... Alex shook his head and chuckled silently when he glanced at her and saw that she was fast asleep... he slowed the car down a bit and reduced the air conditioning... he then took off his jacket and covered her with it.... __________________________ ___________________________ Juliet's jaw almost dropped as she stared at the beautiful manor in front of her... it looked like a real-life castle even though it was in the countryside... she had slept more than half the way and when she had finally woken up they had almost arrived... juliet had felt a bit sad that Alex had driven a few hours in silence but he and told her not to worry about it she wasn't sure exactly what she was expecting, but this was definitely not it... Alex took her hand and they walked to the front door of the house... Juliet stood beside Alex, her heart racing as she Alex pressed the doorbell that was beside the huge mahogany French doors... "You don't have to be nervous." Alex whispered to her and planted a kiss on her temple to try to calm her nerves as they waited.... almost a minute later, the front door was opened to reveal an absolution stunning woman... The beautiful woman eyes immediately brightened up the moment it landed on Alex... "Alex!" she said excitedly and reached out for a hug, while juliet stood beside Alex, waiting for the woman to notice her... The woman finally noticed juliet when she broke her hug with Alex, her blue eyes filled with excitement... "Is she the one?" The woman asked Alex even though her eyes were on juliet, and Alex nodded... Juliet was about to say something when the woman drew her into a warm hug, taking her by surpise... "it's nice to finally meet you, I'm joy," the woman introduced herself. "Same here ma'am, I'm juliet," juliet responded... she handed joy the bottle of wine in her hand, and Joy's face immediately lightened up when she saw it... "Oh dear, you didn't have to... thank you for this, " Joy said "you are welcome ma'am" juliet replied and joy playfully glared at her... "Oh no, please don't call me that, it makes me feel old", joy said and took Juliet's hand... "Come in, both of you, Daniel is waiting," She said and led the couple into her house... if juliet was awed by the outside of the house, now she was completely awed by the interior... The beautiful marble walls screamed luxury as they walked through the hallways... everything wasn't loud, but it screamed luxury, she knew joy was the one who chose such a beautiful interior and it was then Juliet's eyes got a glimpse of a man who was coming down the stairs and for a second she was startled by the striking resemblance the man held with Alex... it was like staring at an older version of alex... they looked so much alike... they had the same green eyes, but alex was taller... "Alex!" Daniel said when he saw his nephew... "Daniel," Alex said and gave his uncle a hug before Daniel eyes settled on juliet.. juliet immediately became nervous, and before she could introduce herself, Joy was the one who did and beat her to it... "This is julie, the girl who has captured your nephew's heart," Joy said, and her husband chuckled... "it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance lynn, I'm daniel," He said and stretched out his hand for a handshake... juliet couldn't quite get over the striking resemblance as joy led them all to the living room... "What about James?" Alex asked when they were seated and offered a glass of water... "he isn't home until next month," Joy responded... James and I had been put in a boarding school a few years back, and he was now in his final year of high school... "I really wished he was here," Alex said, feeling a bit sad that he didn't meet his nephew...
