"A party?" Juliet asked Alex, and he nodded... they were talking on a video call, and he looked like he was in a car... It was almost ten pm... why was the party starting so late at night... "Isn't it kind of late?" She said, and Alex smiled at her... "Yes, I know, but I have to go..." "Sir, we have arrived." She heard someone's voice... sir? maybe he was in a taxi.. "I have to go now...I will call you in the morning, get some rest," Alex said and ended the call after... Patrick was staring at Alex through the rearview mirror, and he looked like he had something to say but wasn't going to say it... "What now, Patrick... you urged me to come here and I did, what else do you have to say to me?" Alex said and looked at patrick through the rearview mirror, and their eyes met... Alex nodded and folded his hand across his chest... "Yes Patrick, we are in a relationship... do you have a problem with that? " Alex said, and Patrick shook his head... "I know what I'm doing, Patrick... you don't have to worry about her... she will be fine, " Alex assured not only Patrick but himself... "When are you going to tell her about you, sir?" Patrick asked, and Alex sighed... Patrick wasn't only his P.A. and secretary... he was more like a friend to Alex... and Alex trusted him a lot... "Truthfully Patrick, I don't know... I have a feeling that things would become more complicated for the both of us if she knows" "But sir, she will eventually find out about it," Patrick said, and Alex nodded. "I know Patrick, that is why I plan on telling her when we get back, so she won't find out on her own" Patrick sighed and decided he was going to tell Alex about Michelle's offer... "Sir, I have something to tell you," Patrick started... "Can that wait till after the party, I want to get this over with quickly," Alex said, and Patrick nodded... They both came out of the car and headed to the entrance of Ethan Wilson's Mansion... "Welcome, sir," an older man greeted as they walked into the house... Alex nodded at the man, and the man led them towards a living room... A few people were gathered in the living room, and Alex soon sighted ethan. A beautiful woman was standing close to ethan, and he was all smiles... a rare sight for Alex... Was this woman perhaps his infamous finance that people spoke about... "I will be over there, sir," Patrick said and quickly scurried away, leaving Alex on his own... Alex, who wasn't a fan of socialising, walked to where ethan was and cleared his throat to get Ethan's attention... "Alexander!" Ethan said! and Alex forced out a smile... "Ethan, it's been a while." Alex took Ethan's hand and shook it... The woman beside ethan looked back and forth between the men and perhaps was waiting for an introduction... "Alex, this is my fiance, Emily... Emily Alex" charles introduced and Alex stretched his hand out for a handshake."Nice to meet you, " Emily said, and Alex nodded... she was polite and not what he was expecting... it seemed Alex had gotten himself a good woman... he just hoped Emily rubbed off ethan. they really looked good together... "I will be right back, sweetheart. I need to have a word with Alex, " Ethan said, and Emily nodded. ethan gave her a peck on the lips before gesturing for Alex to follow him... was this really ethan? "I'm sorry for inviting you to my small get-together, Alex. I know you aren't much of a social type... and I really expecting you to come but you came, " Ethan said when they arrived in his study... "Yes, I'm not ethan, and you know exactly why I came... Could you spill the problem out to me? I would come all the way over to Everton if you have just told me what the problem was" Alex said, Patrick face popped up in his head, telling him to calm down and he stopped talking even though he had more to say... "I don't have a problem with you, ethan... I was just weighing my options, you know... we have been working together now for almost ten years... so why would I suddenly have a problem with you? " Ethan said to his college friend... Alex sighed deeply. He was done with this... "So why aren't you signing the contract?" Alex asked, and ethan stood up from his seat... He walked over to where Alex was standing and said, "I want to make a deal with you..." "A deal? what kind of deal?" Alex asked, and a smile appeared on Ethan's face. They were finally on the same page... ______________ ______________ "Sir, how did it go?" Patrick said after rushing to Alex side when he saw him approaching... "Let's get out of here first," Alex said to Patrick and headed straight for the front door... He said nothing till they were finally in the car... "He wants the hotel," Alex said, and Patrick eyes grew wide... "What!" Patrick exclaimed... why would Mr Wilson want their hotel... it was just a subsidiary and nothing else... The WILSON'S hotel was even bigger... "Why does he want it?" Patrick asked, and Alex sighed deeply... "it's a gift for his finance... they visited a while back and stayed at our hotel, she liked it and now he wants to give it to her as a wedding gift... that was why he cancelled his stay, so I would come..." Alex explained... "But sir... Isn't it better if you give in to what he wants? This seems easier than I thought, " Patrick said, happy that they had a solution... "I didn't accept his deal," Alex said and sighed deeply... Patrick turned to look at Alex, and Alex looked at him... "We can start a change of ownership right now... he has to wait. " Patrick tried to think about why Alex made tgat decision, and he immediately knew why... Juliet... Her company had a project that they were doing and this might affect it if ethan decided for a change of personnel...
