Juliet stood up from her couch and headed to he front door when she heard the door bell ring... she thought at first that it was a package she was expecting that day... but she got a different type of package when she opened her door a package that made one's heart race... "Alex!" She said when she opened her door and saw Alex... They had spoken on the phone earlier and she had told him he didn't have to come... but here he was staring at her with that smile that made her heart flutter on his face... she didn't mean it when she told him not to come and she was happy to see him, but wasn't his flight in a few hours... "Isn't your flight in a few hours... I thought you left already! why are you here!" She said surpised to see him... Alex walked into her house and closed the door behind him... "I wanted to see you" He said and drew her into his arms... Alex gave Juliet a tight and hug... he was leaving for his business trip in a few hours and even though Juliet had told him he didn't have to comr he still showed up... he was sure Patrick must have called him multiple times but Alex had his phone on DND He wished he could take her with him... he barley left his office to come and meet her... Patrick had been on his neck for slacking off but he couldn't leave without seeing her... "I will be back soon" He whispered close to her ear and Juliet nodded. she couldn't believe how fast the days went... she just hoped the days would go as fast as this when he was gone... she was missing him already... "I miss you already... I wish you could come with me... do you want to come with me?" Ales said and asked and Juliet immediately broke the hug... she though he was joking at first, be he looked completely serious... "Are you being serious right now?" She said and he nodded... "Yes, I can speak to your boss for you and make you take a few days off..." He started and Juliet immediately shook her head... "What would your coworkers think about you.. it's a business trip not a vacation and how will you convince my boss" Juliet said and smiled af him.... he was definitely joking... Alex was this close to telling her that he could get that done easily, but he held his tongue... He sighed deeply and kissed her lips... "Don't skip any of your meal okay?" He said and hugged her once again. She was warm... Juliet hugged him back and planted a soft kiss on his cheeks... She couldn't help but smile... she was definitely going to miss this man like crazy... "Alex" She called out to him when he wouldn't release her from his arms... "Can we stay like this for a while longer... If I leave now I wouldn't be able to talk to you for twenty four hours..." Alex muttered and Juliet said nothing more... she just remained in his arms till he finally broke thr hug... Her heart dropped a bit when she saw the expression on his face... she was still right in front of him... "Alex, a week and a half isn't that long it will pass by quickly" She assured Him so he would stop worrying... "Make sure you lock your doors and windows before you go to bed and Don't come back home or leave late at night" Alex said, even though he already have two of his men watching her and making sure she was safe... Juliet chuckled and nodded... "Yes sir" She said and he finally let go of her hand... the smile on her face disappeared... he was leaving... she swallowed and walked into to her front door... Alex stopped in his tracks and turned to look at her and Juliet blinked back her tears... why was she feeling so sad all of a sudden like he was going away for a long time.... Alex took her hand again and leaned closer for a soft and swift kiss... "Take care" He whispered softly and she nodded... Juliet's eyes watered up as she watched Alex walk to his car and then drive off... Her heart hurt and she swallowed... she went back into house and her eyes brimmed with tears... she could feel his absence already... maybe she should have agreed to follow him.. she thought and gave her head a little shake... The next few hours passed by really slowly for juliet... she sat in her kitchen staring at her phone... Juliet picked up her phone and checked the time to see that only three hours had passed... she sighed deeply and stood up... she picked up her phone and walked to her bedroom hoping to take a nap but she couldn't... she missed him already... "Would his phone still be on" Juliet muttered as she laid on her bed... she tossed and turned before picking up her phone once again. another hour had passed... Time seemed to be going slower and she just wanted to hear his voice already... ________________ ________________ "Sir you can't just leave like that... I had to tell the captain to be patient for you" Patrick said to Alex who had his eyes closed in his private jet... he didn't want to talk but Patrick wouldn't stop nagging him... "Sir!" Patrick said and Alex eyes flew open... "I'm here already and we are about to take off... that is what matters now and nothing else Patrick, so try to get some rest because I don't think we will get any when we get there... you should be thinking of ways we could convince them and not nagging me" Alex said to Patrick and Patrick sighed deeply... he shook his head and Alex glared daggers at him.... "You should have picked up your call at least Sir... I wouldn't have been so worried if you did" Patrick muttered under his breath... he knew exactly where Alex was... and he knew Alex wouldn't listen to him no matter what he said... Patrick rested his head... His encounter with Michelle kept popping up in his mind... he glanced at Alex who had his eyes closed again... Should he tell Alex what Michelle had told him to avoid a misunderstanding later... He hadn't given Michelle an answer and thankfully she hadn't reached out to him... he didn't want Alex to have more problems with his mother because of him, Patrick wanted to avoided anything like that but it was hard to when he worked for Alex... He wouldn't lie Michelle deal was tempting... He wanted the best life for his little sister and was ready to do anything if it meant it would make her happy... He glanced at his boss and wondered how Alex was able to carry on with his life everyday without letting his problems overwhelm him.. he envied Alex and knew he wss strong...
