"I'm here to speak to you, and I'm not leaving till you hear me out," Gina responded firmly... in her mind, she was determined not to lose him... "Then I'm leaving," Charles said, but Gina quickly leaned closer and took his car keys that she had sighted a few seconds ago away from him... "You can't leave now," She said, and Charles scoffed... "You do know I can take a taxi right, you can keep the keys." He was about to leave when Gina stopped him and held his hand... "Please just hear me out, and if you still want me to go, then I will." Charles finally turned to look at her and saw the sincerity in her eyes... how could he say no to her when she was looking at him like this... He sighed deeply and slowly nodded. "Just a few minutes," He said and walked into his bar... a smile appeared on Gina's face as she followed after him... The dampened mood that she had been in for over a week started to dissipate. It seemed to be so when she was around him...
The bar was empty when they walked in as it was still early afternoon on a Saturday, even though it became crowded in the evenings... Charles walked to his private room in his bar and took a seat... Gina took a seat a few spaces away from him, and she still had a lingering smile on her face while Charles had a slight frown on... "I'm listening," Charles and Gina swallowed... "Well, before I met you, my dad wanted me to get engaged to someone... That was the only reason why I approached Alex in the first place, I Don't have any feelings for him I just didn't want to do my father's bidding and end up with a jerk like that but then I met you and..." Gina trailed off, wondering if she sounded absurd... "He threatened to take away my boutique if I didn't do as he says, I was pushed to the wall and had no choice but to listen...I'm sorry I shouldn't have lied to you" She continued her head hung low because of the tears that were threatening to fall from her eyes... "I worked too hard and I was afraid I would lose all my hard work...I know I was being selfish but" Gina slowly raised her head to look at Charles who was looking right at her and hadn't said anything... she was trying to read his face for a reaction, but she couldn't. It was hard to tell if he was still mad...
"So what happened after, why did you give up on Alex... isn't he a better catch than me with a failing business and a company that is almost bankrupt?" Charles asked, and Gina swallowed... how could she explain to him that he had occupied her mind and left her disoriented thinking about him all the time... How could she also tell him that his mother had threatened her into it... "I fell for someone, and I couldn't think straight anymore," Gina answered, and Charles's cold exterior immediately faltered... He swallowed and looked away from her. She looked like she was telling the truth, but...
"Do you know how I felt when I saw you seated in that restaurant?" Gina continued, not holding back or hiding her feelings any longer... She was tired of doing so...
Charles slowly turned to look at her, his anger had long dissipated, and now he was his best to hold back and not get up, walk over to her, and kiss her till she was breathless... it was really hard for him not to do that... He could only sit there staring at her with his hand fisted...
"I was shocked at first, and then I was relieved that it was you, and now I'm feeling... ecstatic... I feel like I can finally breathe well again, Charles..." Gina's heart was racing like crazy in her chest as she stared at him... she wanted him to hold her in his arms like he had done before...
She stood up, and Charles's eyes never left hers as she walked over to where he was seated and stood right in front of him... He could hear his self-control snapping string by string... She was too close... way too close...
"I kept thinking about you, and when I didn't take your calls, I felt like I was going crazy. When you stopped calling, I also felt like I was going crazy... I wanted to hear your voice even if I couldn't see you, but you stopped calling, and I couldn't bring myself to call you back..." Gina said and took a step closer to him, her heart skipping multiple beats...
"I missed you like crazy..." She breathed out, and Charles couldn't hold himself back anymore... His hand slowly travelled to her hand, and he pulled her and made her sit on his lap... Gina gasped a bit at his sudden move, but a smile soon appeared on her face...
"I'm sorry..." She said in a whisper as Charles inched closer to her... His mind was completely clouded and occupied by her and her scent... Her precious scent... she smelt so nice... a fragrance that he couldn't stop thinking about... it was embedded in his memories... "You smell so nice," Charles breathed out and inched even closer... their nose touching and their lips just a breath away from each other... His warm breath carassing her skin and sending tingles all through her body... a wonderful tension had built up in the room between the both of them as Charles slowly captured her lips... Everything else faded away and only two of them left in a word that they had created and contained only them...
Charles's hand slowly started to trail from her hand to her lower back as he deepened the kiss, his tongue slowly exploring her mouth... her lips were soft and delicate and he took his time savouring it... She was finally in his arms once again and he felt addicted...
