Alex attention was on Juliet from when the movie started to till the middle of the movie... she could feel his gaze on her, and anytime she turned to look at him, he quickly turned away... why was he looking at her... she thought he didn't want to hold hands anymore.... she couldn't even concentrate on the movie because her concentration was one someone who kept concentrating on her... By the end of the movie, They both just left silently... "That was a good movie," Juliet said as they walked out of the theater she didn't want things to become awkward between them and their night to be ruined... it was their first official date together... "Juliet," Alex called her name softly when they got to the parking lot... "Can I hold your hand when I want?" He said she was a bit taken aback by his question... did he even have to ask... was that why he refused to hold hands with her for almost two hours... "Do you really have to ask..." She said in a low voice and sighed deeply... Juliet swallowed and walked to where he was standing by the driver's side of his car... she took Alex hand and intertwined their fingers... "I was waiting for you to hold my hand the whole... why do you always ask before you do anything. of course, I want you to hold my hand. I love holding hands with you. " Juliet finally blurted her mind out, and it felt like a weight was lifted off her shoulder... "I love holding hands with you too," Alex said and leaned closer for a kiss... a few people were in the parking lot, and Juliet immediately broke the kiss... they definitely saw them! what if they heard her speech too... "I love doing this too." Alex smiled, and his smile was definitely contagious. She soon forgot about her worry of people seeing them and was just happy that she could say her mind... Alex didn't know how to tell her that everything was new to him, that was why he always asked her permission before he did anything... he didn't want to offend her in any way because he was trying so hard to go at a slow pace... He swallowed when she entered the car and smiled at him... that smile... that beautiful smile drove him crazy all the time... his eyes slowly trailed to her lips, and he swallowed again... "What should we do next... you should choose..." Juliet couldn't complete her words because Alex had leaned over to her side and captured her lips, taking her completely by surpise... Her eyes that had grown wide slowly closed as the beautiful awareness of his lips on hers made her heart fluttered... He broke the kiss before he could deepened it. "You are so beautiful." Alex breathed out, and Juliet sat their perplexed... no, there was no way she could get used to his kiss when it made her like this... her tummy had done the thing again... she turned to look at him and their eyes locked... "We should get going, how about dinner?" Alex asked, like he had not kissed her a few seconds ago... he started the car engine and drove out of the parking lot... Their evening went Pleasantly from then on... Juliet told Alex about a restaurant she loved, and they had decided to have dinner there . Over dinner, Alex was able to learn a few more things about her that made him like her the more... he just stared at her and admired her as she told him mostly about her childhood, which seemed to hold a lot of fond memories for her, unlike his childhood... She was slowly healing him, and Alex had no idea.... ___________________ _____________________ Juliet smiled at Alex when he planted a heart fluttering kiss on her lips again... they had grown even closer after their date, and it was wonderful... she loved every bit of it but especially his kisses... Alex slowly caressed her lovely face and and he hugged her. it was getting late, and he knew he had to drop her home... Juliet didn't want to go home, she had to work and would be busy the next day all through with work she had a deadline to meet the coming monday because they had to prepare for their contract with the hotel. She wanted to stay like this in his arms... It was so soothing... Her heart raced, and she loved it... she just loved being with him... she loved him listening to her talk... she loved his gaze... she loved his smile... his hugs... Alex broke the hug and sighed deeply... he almost forgot to tell her about his business trip because he didn't want to ruin their night, she seemed really happy and he loved seeing her in a great mood... "I am going on a business trip in three days," Alex said suddenly, and the smile on Juliet's face immediately dwindled ... "What? A business trip?" Juliet said in a low voice, her excited and slowly started to dissipate... Her heart had dropped... "How long will you be gone?" She asked in a low voice. She was not able to mask how sad she had just become. "About a week and half or two weeks," Alex answered, and Juliet's mood became even more dampened... They just started dating, and he would be gone for two weeks! she wanted to ask him to stay but couldn't... it was his work... How would she bear not being able to see him and be in his arms for two whole weeks. She had already started thinking of where they could go to for their next date... "I will call you every day, i promise... i will be back before you know it... ," Alex said, hoping she wouldn't look so sad. He wanted to see her smile again... this was the reason why he waited before he told her... He missed her already even though she was sitting right next to him... "Okay," Juliet responded, and he hugged her again... "I miss you already," He whispered, and she swallowed... She raised her head to look at him, and he smiled at her.... "I hope you miss me too," He said and planted a kiss on her nose, which made the butterflies in her tummy giggle... She found herself smiling at him again... "A week and a half isn't that long," She said, trying to motivate herself, and Alex nodded, also taking from her motivation... "Yes, it isn't. as soon as I'm done with work. I will call you... Don't skip breakfast or lunch, okay? take care of yourself..." He said a bit firmly, and it made her smile become wider... Who would have thought she would be smiling so lovingly at him a month ago... She wouldn't even have imagined it... She thought she would never see him... but here he was in front of her, her heart racing like crazy for a man she knew absolutely nothing about except his name and the fact that he was a sweetheart.... ________________
