The day of the wedding came faster than everyone expected, and Gina sat in the bride's waiting room feeling more nervous than ever... everything had been planned out so fast that only a few guests had been invited, and surprisingly, Caroline had not tried to interfere in any of the plans and had simply just gone along with everything the couple wanted... "You look lovely." Her soon-to-be mother-in-law said to her and gave her a warm hug, taking Gina by surprise... She hugged her back, and Caroline broke the hug. Her eyes travelled to Juliet, who was standing close by, and she smiled slightly at her before leaving the room... "Wow, I can't believe I'm getting married," Gina said in an anxious voice when Caroline was gone... Juliet walked to where she was standing and took her hand in hers... a warm smile appeared on her face as she handed Gina her bouquet... "Everything is going to be fine. You don't have to worry... you look great, everything is exceptional... you don't have to worry about anything else, " Juliet said in an assuring tone, and Gina nodded. She couldn't wait to walk down the aisle to meet the love of her life, but her mind couldn't help but trail her parents... her father hadn't reached out for the past month, and she hadn't reached out... She had excluded him from the wedding and she was sure he would exclude her from his will too but for the first time in her life she didn't care about that...she didn't care if she wasn't his heir anymore... she just wanted to be happy... a bright smile appeared on her face, and she gave Juliet a warm hug... juliet had been more than a help to her as they planned out the wedding...
"Thank you," Gina whispered, and Juliet nodded. "Now, are you ready... it's time for you to get hitched, " Juliet said, causing both women to chuckle... "Yes, I'm ready. " ...
They both headed out of the bride's waiting room, and Gina could hear the beautiful song that was playing on the piano... Juliet smiled at her Warmly and gave her a reassuring nod before walking away towards the position she was meant to stay. As she did, she spotted Michelle staring right at her... she immediately looked away, and her eyes travelled to Alex, who was standing behind Charlie... he didn't seem to notice his mother or perhaps didn't want to...
Charles held his breath as he watched Gina slowly start to approach while the beautiful piano tunes wafted across the room in a beautiful symphony... his heart was racing like crazy and he was afraid it was going to burst right of his chest when his eyes met with hers...
She was breathtaking... she had the loveliest smile on her face, and he knew he loved her, but he fell in love all over again, just staring at her... He was going to protect her for the rest of his life and make her the happiest woman ever... he vowed...
Caroline wiped the tears in her eyes away as she watched her son... and Michelle, who was seated beside her, squeezed her hand in support. She had been surprised to find out who the bride was when she got the invitation but she wasn't angry... and now that she was staring at the way, the couple looked at one another. she could tell how much they loved each other and they weren't the only couple who had that look in their eyes...
Alex mouthed the word "I love you" to Juliet, and her face became flushed... she bit back a smile and returned her attention to Gina, who had finally gotten to where Charles was... "You look breathtaking...." Charles said when his bride finally stood in front of him and Gina fought hard so she wouldn't cry... "You look handsome too," She replied and bit her lips... her heart raced as he took her hand in his, and the wedding began... Everything else felt like a blur as the couple were more focused on each other, and Charles didn't hesitate to say "I do" when asked if he wanted to take her as his wife... "I do," Gina answered, too...
Charles didn't wait for the officiator to say he could kiss his bride. He leaned closer to Gina and captured her lips, causing the guest to cheer out to the couple... "I love you so much," Charles whispered when he broke the kiss, a bright smile on his face as he captured her lips once again... he couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life with her... he was going to love her until his last breath, he vowed...
"Congratulations," Juliet said to Gina and Charles. A bright smile appeared on Gina's face, and she leaned closer and hugged Juliet, and Juliet hugged her back... "Thank you," Gina said, and when she broke the hug and handed the bouquet in her hand to Juliet. "I don't think I have to throw this,", she said, her eyes travelling to Alex, who was holding back a smile; he looked like he was ready to get married then and there if Juliet was ready, and this made Charles chuckle...
"You can come over to my boutique anytime you want," Gina said, and Juliet nodded...
Alex smiled at Gina, and she smiled back at him while he glared at his cousin, who glared right back at him... "Your wedding is next," Charles said, and Juliet's face became flushed as she glanced at Alex... she swallowed when Alex leaned closer and planted a soft kiss on her cheeks... "Yes, anytime my soon-to-be bride here is ready,"
"Alex!" Juliet muttered and slapped his arm playfully, causing all of them to chuckle...
Michelle stood at a distance, staring at Alex and Juliet, her heart heavy as she stared at her son, who hadn't spoken to her the whole ceremony... He didn't even glance her way for once and acted like he had no idea who she was... it broke her heart and made a sad smile appear on her face as she stared at Gina and Charles... would Alex invite her to his wedding if he got married... would she be excluded like the way Gina excluded her father...
"Are you alright?" Caroline asked her sister, who had been silent the whole time as she spoke to a few of her friends who she had invited... she followed Michelle's gaze and found her staring at their children... "they look so happy," Michelle said in a low voice, any longer Caroline nodded. "Yes, they do... that should be all that matters... their happiness... seeing Charles this happy warms my heart, and even now I can die without regrets because I know he wouldn't be left all alone" Caroline responded.... she felt an overwhelming happiness and it was a similar happiness to the day Charles was born...
Staring at him and seeing the bright smile on his face as he stared at Gina with so much love in his eyes warmed her heart... she wished them nothing but the best life filled with joy and peace...
