"What! What do you mean they are staying together at his apartment!" Michelle yelled out her eyes filled with anger and shock because of what she had just found out... She stood up and started to pace around her living room... "What if she gets pregnant and tries to trap my son? what happens then... what is happening to Alex... what is she doing to him..." Michelle said to herself in a low voice... she had decided not to intervene thinking things would naturally dry out between the both of them, but now Alex moved her into his Penthouse... what would be next? The estate? Then, he would introduce her as his fiance... she felt a headache starting to rise in her head... "I'm going out get the car ready," She instructed... her P. A immediately left to do as she was told and Gwen came into the living room to see her boss looking mad... "Are you alright ma'am?" Gwen asked, and Michelle shook her head and sighed deeply... "No, I'm not Gwen... Alex might try to get married to that...thing, and I can just sit by and watch him ruin himself... it's the least I can do as his mother, " Michelle said and walked out of the living room... "That stupid boy" Michelle said to herself as she rode the elevator to Alex's floor... her heart racing in her chest as she tried her best to be calm even though she was beyond angry... she closed her eyes and took a deep breath when the elevator opened and she walked out of it... If Alex didn't want to break things off like she wanted then she had to make Juluet break things off herself...if she did so then Alex would have no reason not to listen to her... He would know that she was right and had always been right... She stood in front of the door and took out her lipstick from her bag, and her small mirror.. she put a bit of red lipstick on and adjusted her hair before she finally pressed the doorbell... Her calm face came into place as she waited for her to answer the door... ___________________ ____________________ Juliet sat on the floor in the living room of Alex's's apartment, and as she was about to finally finish the work she had been working on for days, she heard the doorbell of the house ring... A smile immediately appeared on her face because Alex had told her he would come back home so they could have lunch together... she got up and excitedly unlocked the door without checking the door without checking the door cam first and the smile on her face immediately disappeared when she saw who was at the door... Her heart immediately dropped when she recognised the elegant-looking woman within a few seconds... It was the woman she had seen in pictures online... Michelle Graham, Alex's mother... "You must be Juliet" Michelle said, a smirk appearing on her face as she eyed Juliet from head to toe... Juliet was dressed casually because she wasn't going anywhere and she immediately became self-conscious of herself because of how Michelle was staring at her... "You seem to know who I am even though this is our first time meeting," Michelle said and walked past Juliet and into the house before Juliet could respond to her words... Juliet was still too stunned to speak... Michelle was the last person she was expecting to see and didn't even have it in her mind that she would be meeting Alex's mother like this... She took a deep breath before closing the front door and walking back to the living room where Michelle was seated waiting for her... "Have a seat. I need to speak to you. I won't take much of your time, " Michelle said in a calm voice when Juliet was finally in the living room... Juliet almost sighed deeply as she took a seat opposite the chair. Michelle was seated... her heart beating frantically in her ribcage at this sudden interaction... she didn't even know what to say... "Would you like something to drink" Juliet finally said in a low voice and Michelle shook her head "I'm fine...like I said I won't be here for long, so I'm just going to get straight to the point." Michelle folded her hand and sighed deeply... "I want Alex to get married soon, and I have someone in mind already... we will have a meeting with both families soon to pick a date. " Michelle started, and Juliet felt her heart drop and her stomach churn... "What!" Juliet said in disbelief. Her eyes became slightly wide... she was sure Michelle wasn't telling the truth... Alex would never do a thing like that to her... He had feelings for her, and she could see and feel it... "I didn't want to get involved because I wanted him to end things with you on his own, but it doesn't seem fair to you and his fiance... This whole setting of you living here with him will only make things more complicated than it already is" Michelle seemed more than sure of herself now... She knew her words were sinking into Juliet... "Alex wouldn't do something like that to me..." Juliet said in a low voice and it made a smile appear on Michelle's face... "How do you know that? I've known my son for almost thirty years and how long have you known him for, a couple of months... trust me darling you know nothing about Alex" Michelle said confidently... She picked up her designer handbag and cleared her throat as she stood up... "Do you think my son would prefer someone like you over a girl from...well a good family...I don't think so...things don't work like that darling..." Michelle's eyes scanned Juliet from head to toe like she had done when she walked into the house, and she scoffed as she turned to leave... Juliet remained seated on the couch, and she almost yelped when she heard the front door close... "Alex wouldn't do that to me," Juliet muttered under her breath.... the short interaction she had with Michelle was enough for her to know that Michelle didn't like her probably because of her background... but what troubled juliet the more was the fact that Alex could have lied to her... She ran her hand through her hair and took multiple deep breaths to calm herself... she just needed to ask Alex when he came home, and then she would get an explanation...
