Claudia walked into the room, and Alex turned to look at her... She smiled at him and waved her hand as she walked to the chair opposite him... if things turned out well, she would have more than enough not only to bail her son out of jail but to also pay the interest off some of her debts, maybe even more... He eyes scanned his clothes to his shoes, he looked expensive too... Did he walk for a huge conglomerate? Or was he a business owner, maybe she could set him up with her daughter? "You can order anything you want," Alex said, and a few seconds later, a waiter came into the room to take their other... Claudia saw it saw it as her chance and immediately showed the waiter what she wanted on the menu... The most expensive dish in the restaurant... She wanted to taste what this rich folks spent so much on... He didn't look concerned about what she was ordering, and Claudia was finally convinced that he was loaded... Where did her niece meet such a guy... it would have been better if that stupid daughter of hers was the one who met him instead of juliet. Then they wouldn't have to suffer anymore... "Are you really her boyfriend?" Claudia asked a smile on her face...he looked rich. Maybe she could get something from him since Juliet kept ignoring her. She didn't care if the money came from him or juliet. She just wanted someone to provide it... "That is none of your business," Alex said coldly to her, his eyes like ice... Claudia swallowed. It was hard not to be intimidated by him when he was looking at her that way... "Why did you bring me here. If you give me some money then I will leave juliet alone. she knows what I need, but she keeps ignoring me. " "And why should i do that?" Alex said, Claudia glared at him she hated the way he spoke to her like she was irrelevant... she was the one who had an advantage here, not him... "Don't you care for my niece, if you really care for her, wouldn't it be right to be on the good side of her only remaining family?" She said confidently, and Alex scoffed... she must think she had an upper hand against him, he thought... She had no idea he knew every single thing about her and what she had been up to the whole time... He even knew about her keeping Juliet's grandparents' house all to herself, but she still wasn't satisfied... she was a pest that needed to be sprayed... "I sure the police are only aware of your son being a thief... are they aware of the other things he does... I'm not sure you would be able to bail him out if they find out. " Claudia froze and felt her stomach churn... "What are you talking about!" She raised her voice, trying to feign ignorance, but that didn't work on Alex... He wasn't a bit moved at all by her pretence... He leaned Closer a little and said in an icy voice, "He could be put away from years if they find out about his dealings." Claudia swallowed and fisted her hand... Who was this man and how the hell did he find out about it!. that was why she was so eager to get her son out of jail, she didn't want the police to get a wind of what he had gotten himself into... she wouldn't be able to bear it if they did. She couldn't even afford a good lawyer to defend him... Why did this b*stard have to show up and ruin everything for her! she knew juliet would have given in if she pressed her some more... She stood up and slammed her hand on the table, trying to stand her ground and defend herself... "You know absolutely nothing about me and my family... you have no idea what we have been through!" Claudia said, trying to act like the victim, but that doesn't work on Alex... "That doesn't justify the way you act... What does that have to do with juliet, she isn't the one who caused your predicaments" Alex told her the bitter truth and it was indeed better to Claudia and she didn't want to accept that she is a complete nuisance... "We are her family. she should help us when we need the help and not avoid us. That is what family is all about. " Alex might not have the best of family, but he knew for a fact that that wasn't true, and Claudia was just a crazy entitled woman who thought she could get away with anything with her drama... those were the type of people he despised the most... He stood up also and smiled... "I can't stand the sight of you any longer... It's either you stay away from her or you will hear from my lawyers... Maybe it is for the best if you join your son in jail so the both of you can be reunited even though I'm sure you will get out before him. " Alex turned to leave but stopped and looked at her. "You can have your dinner here. Don't worry about the bill it has been sorted out already." "You know nothing about juliet," Claudia said just as Alex was about to walk through the door... He turned to look at her, his green eyes like a glacier "You are right. I know nothing about her, but that doesn't matter to me." He walked out of the door after that, leaving Claudia a complete mess. Her entire scheme had fallen through just because someone became nosy...
