"Have a great day," Juliet said to Alex when it was time for him to leave for work... Alex leaned closer and planted a brief kiss on her lips that left a pleased smile on her face... He didn't want to go to work and had almost stayed behind, but Juliet had completely been against it, stating that if he wanted their agreement to he valid, then he couldn't skip work... Alex had reluctantly agreed, and now that it was time for him to go, he didn't want to... He turned to leave and sighed deeply... "You are running late, Alex," Juliet said to him when he turned to look at her... "No one can complain if I'm late," Alex replied, and juliet playfully glared at him... She opened her arms for him, and he gave her a warm hug and planted a kiss on her temple... "Do you remember what I told you?" He said to her after breaking the hug... Alex took her hand in his "Yes, I remember Alex, this is the third time you are asking me... if I need anything, I just need to call Marc, and he will get it for me... I promise not to go anywhere on my own... you should get going now, " Juliet said and giggled when Alex planted a kiss on her lips again... The more the days passes the more she sees a new side of him... "I will be back early so we can have dinner together... are you sure you don't want to come with me... you can stay in my office, " Alex suggested, and juliet shook her head in disagreement... "No, I will be waiting here. maybe I can watch some TV and get some of my work done..." Juliet said, and Alex nodded reluctantly. He really didn't mind her coming with him... he wanted everyone to know that he was with her and he didn't want to be apart from her for even a single second... Alex finally left after kissing her... Patrick was waiting for him to have the parking lot already ready to take him to work... "Did you find out who it was that was following her?" Alex asked Patrick as soon as he was seated in the car... "No, sir, but something else happened... I think you need to see this. " Patrick looked worried as he handed the tablet in his hand to Alex that had a picture on display... "Someone broke into her house last night after the both of you left... we found out this morning after I sent some people to install the window iron bars and new security system..." Patrick explained... Alex flipped through the picture... her house had been completely ransacked like whoever it was was searching for something... it didn't seem like it was something his mother would do... the Michelle he knew would never stood so low unless she was pushed to the wall, and she wasn't pushed to the wall yet... It looked like someone did this like some sort of warning to scare juliet... but who could it be.. was it someone who had a grudge against him or against her? Gina? he doubted that. She had been quiet after the stern warning he gave her. no, it was something else... Alex sighed and handed the tablet back to Patrick.. "Who do you think would do such a thing, sir... I doubt your mother did something like this, " Patrick asked .. "I don't know Patrick, all I know is I have to protect her... I think it might be related to me, but I can't think of anyone ..." Have someone watch her house for any movement. we can't take any chances...it was a good thing he had made her come with him and not stay alone in her house... Alex instructed... "And I think I'm going to speak work for today," Alex added, and Patrick nodded, not nagging Alex like he always did... "Send the pictures to me," Alex came out of the car and rode the elevator back up to his apartment.... ________________ ________________ Juliet was seated on the couch in the living room when she heard the front door open and someone foot step approaching... she immediately stood up, her heart dropping in fear that someone might have broken in... but she sighed in relief when she saw Alex walk into the living room... "Shouldn't you be on your way to work?" Juliet said to Alex, who was walking towards her with a slight frown on her face that made her a bit worried.... Was his chest hurting again? "Are you alright? Is something going on?" She asked, her eyes filled with concern... "I need to speak to you," Alex responded and gestured for her to take a seat... She did, and he took a seat beside her... "Don't be alarmed, but last night someone broke into your house," Alex said... "What!" Juliet exclaimed and stood up shocked by this news... "Who?" She asked, and Alex shook his head... "I don't know but," He trailed off and handed his phone to her that had the pictures of her house... Juliet gasped when she saw the state that her house was in... was it the same person from the previous night... who could have done such a thing... "Thoughs like that kept popping up in her mind... The place she called her home wasn't safe anymore... she handed Alex phone back to him and sat down... "I'm sorry Juliet, but I can't let you return back there till we find out who it was that did this," Alex said and gave her a warm hug to comfort her... he felt a pang of guilt because he knew that this might be his fault... "I need to go back there to check if any of my things were stolen," Juliet said in a low voice, and Alex nodded.... "Okay, but I'm coming with you... everything will be okay, I promise, " He assured her... he vowed to get whoever it was that was trying to harm her
