Alex drove his car into his estate, his eyes filled with so much anger as he stopped his car... he walked straight to the front door of the house that he hadn't been in weeks and tried to push the door open but it was locked. This seemed to increase his anger... and instead of pressing the doorbell to inform anyone of his arrival. He just stood there staring at the door with a cold look in his eyes... he hated this house so much because it was filled with so many memories that he wanted to erase from his mind completely. He turned away from the front door and headed back to his car. The front door opened, and at that moment, his butler came out to Alex's car, leaving the resident. He had a curious and confused look on his face as he watched the car leave and wondered why Alex hadn't come into the house...
"Alex", Juliet said excitedly when she opened the front door and saw Alex. He had a frown on his face which disappeared as soon as he saw her face.. "You are home early", Juliet said as she made way for him to enter the house, and he nodded. He should have come back to his new home first... she was his new home which didn't have any bad memories but memories that made him happy... "Yes, I decided to leave early", Alex answered and didn't want to tell her about Michelle... she seemed excited to see him... Alex asked about Juliet's day, and she went on to tell him about how she spent it with her grandmother... "I bought her a new dress," Juliet said excitedly, and Alex smiled... she looked pretty happy, and his heart felt heavy... he could see the sparkle in her eyes as she spoke about her grandmother and Alex didn't want to ever bring her to the place he grew up...he wanted to create a better place for her... His mind started to go over the type of place she would like... she didn't seem like some who would like to live in the country side... He had a small estate he inherited him his grandparents that he hadn't visited in a while. maybe he could perhaps renovate the entire place... there was more than enough land there...
It was dinner time soon, and it was Juliet's turn to make dinner for the both of them...
Alex sighed deeply as he ate his dinner, his mind trailing back to his mother and what she said while they were in his office... he knew it was too late for her to ask for his forgiveness, but a part of him wondered if she was sincere. Juliet's eyes were on Alex, and she immediately deduced that something was wrong with him, but she didn't ask until they were done with dinner and seated in the living room. She brought him a glass of water and sat beside him... he looked like he was in a daze, his mind far off till Juliet spoke to him...
"Are you alright?" Juliet asked, and Alex shook his head slowly... he turned to look at her and sighed deeply. "My mother came by my office today, and she felt like a completely different person'" he explained, but Juliet was a bit confused about what he meant by that. "She told me she was sorry..." Alex added in a low voice. his heart and head felt heavy, and he scoffed... "it's quite late for her to say that now, if she had done that twenty years ago, then it wouldn't be." Juliet stared at Alex with worry in her eyes... she was worried about him because even though he acted like he didn't care, she knew, she knew he did but was trying to push it away... "Alex," Juliet called out his name softly, and he smiled slightly at her. "I'm fine, you don't have to worry," He assured her and got up from beside her. Juliet turned to look at Alex as he headed upstairs... she sighed deeply and remembered the talk she had with Michelle... was that what compelled her to do this... she stood up and followed after him when she got to the room, he was standing in the closet with his back turned to her and he was about to take off his shirt... juliet walked towards Alex and wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his back and Alex froze and tilted His head to look at her... "I'm fine," He said in a low voice, and as soon as the words came out of his mouth, he knew he wasn't and had been lying to himself the whole time... they both stood there in silence as memories from his childhood invaded his mind, and he swallowed... His breathing became a bit raged, and his hand travelled to Juliet's hand. Was wrapped around him... juliet released her hand that was wrapped around Alex as he turned slowly to look at her... She was the pain in his eyes then, the raw, unhidden pain that Alex had been keeping deep within him since he was a child... a pain that had slowly started to consume him before he met Juliet... It was an overwhelming feeling that made it hard for him to breathe and disturb his life... But when Juliet opened up her arms and smiled at him, his heart felt warmed, and he immediately hugged her her and drew her closer. Alex buried his head in the nook of her neck and closed his eyes, and she patted his back softly... "You don't have to act like you are fine around me... I'm always here for you like you are for me... always, " She said to him softly, and Alex nodded and didn't want to ever let go... He relished being in her arms so much... he loved her and knew he couldn't live without her...
"Do you know what?" Alex whispered in a low voice and broke the hug between them... his eyes locking into her beautiful eyes... his hand travelled to her face, and he caressed it softly... she looked so beautiful... "I don't think I can survive without you... I love you so much... I can't even explain the feelings in words. " he breathed out, and before beforJulietet could possess what he was saying Alex drew her closer by her waist and captured her lips... and Juliet kissed him back immediately... her heart melting as they kissed and it felt more than perfect
