"Aren't you going to go back to work?" Juliet said to Alex about an hour after they had had lunch... Everything felt less tense now between them thankfully and Alex was seated in the living room with a cup of coffee in his hand, feeling more than hesitant to go back to work even though he had a meeting soon... He wanted to stay home with her so they could spend the rest of the day together... "Do you want me to go back?" Alex asked her when she sat a bit close to him with her cup of coffee... Juliet didn't know what to say to him, so she simply sighed deeply.. "Just a second," Alex said and picked up his phone from the table... Juliet's curious eyes were on him as he called up someone... "Cancel all my schedule for the rest of the day, I'm not coming back" Alex instructed as soon as the call was answered and he ended the call when he was done with what he had to say... A slight smile appeared on Juliet's face, and Alex didn't miss it... "Are you glad?" He said in a teasing voice, and the smile on her face widened... she cleared her throat and stood up, her cheeks flushed... "I should drop this in the kitchen," She said and was about to scurry away, but Alex held her hand, stopping her in her tracks... Alex suddenly drew her back and made her sit on his lap causing Juliet to gasp in surprise, the coffee cup in her hand losing its balance, but Alex's reflexes were fast and he caught the cup in his other hand just before it could reach the ground and shatter into piece... "Careful... that was close," He said in a low voice, his breath slowly caressing Juliet's skin and shs swallowed... Her breath hitched a bit... Her cheeks are more than flushed now... Alex slowly placed the cup on the table, and finally, all his attention was on her, the nervous-looking lady in his arms... "I kept thinking about you all day at work," He muttered in a low voice as his eyes slowly travelled from her beautiful eyes... down to her nose and then her slightly parted lips... The more the seconds passed, the more heated Juliet's body felt... The proximity he was to her didn't allow her to think straight, and all she could think about was how close he was and if he was going to... Kiss her and train his fingers... across her body... His gaze alone was enough to leave her breathless... "Did you think about me too... Did you miss me? " He asked in a low, soft voice and inched closer to her... their lips almost touching... it took Juliet a few seconds, but she finally nodded... "Say it, Julie...I want to hear your voice," Alex whispered, and his breath made her breath hitch even more... She wanted his lips on hers already... "I missed you..." Juliet breathed out... Alex's eyes locked onto hers, his gaze burning with intensity. He leaned in closer, his lips inches from hers. "Julie," he whispered, his breath dancing caressing her skin... her whole body was on fire... Juliet's heart skipped a beat as Alex's lips brushed against hers. The touch sent shivers down her spine, and she melted into his embrace. Her heart was pumping so fast in her chest like it was about to explode... The kiss deepened, their lips moving in perfect sync. Juliet's hands slowly wrapped around Alex's neck, pulling him closer. His arms enveloped her, holding her tight. Time stood still as they lost themselves in the kiss. The world outside receded, leaving only the two of them, filled with so much desire for one another that it was almost overwhelming... As Juliet broke the kiss to catch her breath, Alex's eyes crinkled at the corners. A bright smile appeared on his face because of how he was feeling at that moment... "I've wanted to do that all day," he said, his voice low and husky. Juliet's cheeks became more flushed, but she couldn't help smiling. "I thought about you too," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper, her eyes straying from his intense gaze as her heart continued to race frantically in her chest... Her entire body was filled with overwhelming desire... Alex chuckled, his hand travelling to her waist to steady her on his lap. "I love hearing you say that, Julie." As they sat there, wrapped in each other's arms, Juliet felt happier than ever, her heart filled with so much contentment of just being in his arms, feeling his care for her resonating in the air. It scared her, but it also thrilled her. "What changed your mind?" Juliet asked, her curiosity getting the better of her. "About staying home, I mean." Alex's expression turned serious. "I realized I'd rather spend the day with you than anyone else." Juliet's heart swelled. No one had ever told her words like that before... heart-melting words that seemed to melt her heart whenever she heard him... As the afternoon sun streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow over the room, Juliet knew she was falling deeply in love with Alex Graham and she also knew it was a feeling that wasn't going to go away... Not for a long time, because the feelings she had for him increased with each passing day... As she stared deep into his mesmerising green eyes, her heart began to waver as she thought about their future and what it would be like... He had said to her that the only woman he ever thought of marrying was her, but would that ever be possible... He was him and she was her... Two very opposite people in many aspects.. She knew the moment they made their relationship, public people would judge her and point fingers at her... But as she sat in his arms Juliet was ready to risk it all for this man who her heart yearned so much for....
