"Please leave. I need to work," He said, cold, and Michelle scoffed. Maybe if she had other kids, she wouldn't be so hurt by how she was treated by him... he was her only child and problem...
"I heard your uncle is back. Did he say anything bad about me again!" Michelle continued and didn't look like she was going to leave... Alex had a lot on his mind, and he couldn't listen to her, making his thrombin head worse... He stood up and walked right past her, and Michelle was appalled by this behaviour... "Where do you think you are going, I thought you had work to do! are you going to see that girl again!" She said, but Alex ignored her and walked out of his office...
Michelle sighed deeply and walked to the couch... she took a seat and tried to steady her breath... she shouldn't have left him all by himself in that house... She regretted doing that every day... After what he had witnessed that day, she had thought it would only make him stronger and overcome his fear... She didn't give him the chance to grieve the loss that had happened, but instead, she had tried to make him strong for the role he had to take on, and now he hated her for it... She couldn't even have a nice meal with her son anymore...
"Sir," Patrick said when Alex walked out of his office... "I'm going to get breakfast, you don't have to come with me," He said, and Patrick nodded. He and Olivia both watched as Alex walked to his elevator ...
Michelle came out of Alex office a few minutes later... She stopped by the secretary office and sighed deeply... "Where did he go off to now?" She asked. "I don't know ma'am" Patrick answered, and Michelle sighed deeply again... "Jutst watch and make sure he doesn't do anything crazy," She said to the both of them before walking off... "She give me the chills," Olivia said when she was sure Michelle wasn't within hear shot... "Me too," Patrick answered. He knew Michelle disliked him because he refused to report to her about Alex daily life... He was loyal to Alex and had a good reason to be ...
Alex walked out of his office and didn't head to the parking lot... he just walked off... He continued to walk and walk till he couldn't walk anymore.... so he decided to take a taxi and the place that came to his mind was the park, where he met juliet... he told the taxi driver to take him there...
Alex walked to a small convenience stall when he started to get too hungry... he bought a sandwich and a soda before heading down to the park... It was early afternoon, and the weather seemed a little gloomy, but he didn't care about that...
.Alex took a bite out of his sandwich and immediately lost his appetite... it had no taste in his mouth, and it felt like he was eating paper... He opened the can of soda beside him and drank a little from it... He could see a few little kids with their parents playing at the park close to Juliet's place, and it was a beautiful sight... Something he had never experienced in his entire life... he dropped the soda and sighed... He knew from the beginning that his parents' marriage wasn't like the others... It was an arranged marriage of convenience... They both always fought, and his father was mostly at work to avoid having to fight with his mother... While his mother wallowed in her sorrow of being married to such a workaholic... Once in a while, he had meals with both his parents, and that was one of the happiest memories he could remember when he was young... There was a time they didn't fight for a while and seemed to be getting along, but it didn't last... They were back to normal, and it continued like that for a few years... He saw other happy families, including his uncle and his wife, who also had an arranged marriage but ended up falling in love... He always wondered why his parents didn't just get a divorce like other people... Alex only had his nannies to rely on, and he had been close to one... Joyce... he remembered her name... She was a lovely woman that he would never forget for as long as he lived...
His father was fond of him, thought, and took Him to work a few times when he was in a pleasant mood, and finally everything came to an abrupt end... Not a pleasant one but a traumatic one that still haunted him... his parents had had one of their fights again, and this time, it was more serious than ever, and it mother and caused it... She told him to get out of the house and his father was totally furious... He never returned that day... that was the last time he had ever seen his father, and from that day onward, everything changed...
Alex swallowed, and his head hung low as the memories of that day invaded his mind... that wasn't all that had happened. He had lost one of the two most important people in his life that faithful day, and it was engraved in his mind... the trauma it had caused him still to stay with him and was ruining his life... He had tried to look for a solution, and it had been futile...
His mother, instead of helping him through it, had left him alone in the house... she had left him to grief all by himself and insisted he had to become stronger on his own... What he needed then was his mother and nothing else... He raised his head and glanced at the families... They were packing up and seemed to be leaving... it was then it dawned on him that it was about to rain when he felt a drop of rain drizzle on his hand...
