Alex followed Clara to Gina's office... when they got their Gina held her breath as Alex walked into... he was even more handsome than she remembered. it would make it bearable to be married to him... "You can go," She said to Clara, who was still standing in the room, Clara glanced at Alex one more time before leaving. was this man really with Gina? One of her sweetest smile immediately appeared on her face as soon as Clara was out of her office, and they were both alone... "I wasn't expecting you to show up like this," She said and gestured for him to take a seat... Alex nodded and took a seat... from her smile, he could tell already that she was a really good actress and manipulator... she knew how to act nice in front of others but was completely the opposite of that... "Did my mother tell you we are going to get engaged?" He said straight forward, and the smile on Gina's face widened... "Yes, I was going to arrange for you to meet my father..." She said, and Alex scoffed... "Why would I meet your father?" He asked, and the smile on her face immediately faltered a little... "I have no intention of being with the likes of you..." Alex added... the likes of her! what were the likes of her! Gina's blood began to boil slowly... did he find out about she and his mother visiting juliet, his little fling workplace... Did she tell him about it... Was that why he was here and speaking to her in this manner.. "Whatever my mother wants doesn't matter to me... including you... I want us to keep things professional and would like if you didn't meddle in my business anymore or would you prefer if I meddle in yours... I'm sure Mr dawson wouldn't be pleased to hear what I have to say about his dear daughter would he now" Alex said and stood up, still keeping his calm demeanour... "I'm sure you understand what I mean" He said and walked out of her office...Gina immediately stood up and went after him... He had to come back to his senses... "Alex!" She held his arm, stopping him in his tracks... "Get your hands off me" Alex said in a calm, but chilling tone and swatted her hand away and Gina felt like she had been smacked hard on her face... Was Alex always like this... "You must be mistaken... I only went there because your mother insisted I followed her" Gina lied and tried to push everything on Michelle. She had more to lose... "I don't care about that and I hope the both of us never have to cross paths again... it wouldn't be as calm and pleasant as this time Miss dawson" Alex said and walked away... Gina went after him, feeling utterly humiliated that she couldn't even talk back to him... Was she that irrelevant to him? It couldn't be just a fling if he was acting This way, did he actually fall for Juliet! She felt like she had been punched multiple times in her gut as Alex walked out of her boutique. she had never felt this humiliated in her life... She closed her eyes and fisted her hand to calm herself. Michelle had promised her already that she would take care of everything and she had told her father already that she was going to get together with Alex and for the first time he had looked at her with approval in his eyes...She just had to put up with everything. she said to herself over and over again and then let out the deepest breath before walking back into her boutique. she saw most of her workers whispering and assumed they were talking about her, and she felt the rage in her rise to the extreme... "Get out of my sight, all of you!" Her voice thundered, and all of her workers immediately scurried away... Gina trembled with anger as she walked back to her office... everything was going to be worth it at the end... it had to be worth it, but she was never going to forgive Alex for speaking to her that way. She was going to make him pay one way or another. not now but in the future... he was going to take back his words she promised herself... Patrick glanced at his boss through the rearview mirror. he wondered what Alex had said to Gina. He saw how fuming mad she looked when Alex walked out of her boutique... this was unlike the Alex he knew. He saw how workers up Alex often became just because of juliet... He didn't want her to turn out as a weakness for Alex. that wasn't what he needed right now, and to him, Gina was more of a better choice than juliet socially wise, even though she was annoying and a spoilt brat... he could tell already by just meeting her once. she acted like someone who always wanted to get what they wanted... he had met the likes of her so many times, and it was like a routine... Alex had gone on blind dates with them and even dated a few of them, but nothing lasted... Alex eyes were closed, and his looked like he was asleep, but he wasn't, and he could feel Patrick gaze on him... "Why are you staring at me? Do you have something to say to me?" Alex said, and Patrick immediately looked away. "No, sir. I was just wondering if you were alseep, " Patrick lied. He knew Alex wasn't alseep. Alex eyes fluttered open, a deep frown on his face... "I know what you are thinking Patrick and no... it can never work out. My mom is only wasting her time with me, " Alex said firmly, and with finality... "Her father might be of help to our company in a way, but I don't think I care about that" Alex said and looked at the window and also there was someone else who had been occupying his heart and mind lately... someone who only thought about her made his heart warm, and being with her made him forget his problems for a while...
