Chapter 133: Waking Up From Coma

*Five Months Later* It's been five months since Xavier have been in coma, after taking a bullet for Sarah when she was kidnapped by Charles, he nearly lost his life, but fortunately he was brought to the hospital where they did surgery on him in order to retrieve the bullets. But since when the bullets were retrieved, he have been in coma and the doctor have also informed Sarah that he wasn't sure of when he would wake up and that it was also possible that he never wakes up, so she shouldn't keep her hopes high. Since the past five months that Xavier have been in coma, Sarah makes sure to visit him every day to see if he have waken up and sometimes she even visits him with Justin who have been greatly affected by his father's absence. Ever since he heard that his father was in Coma, he haven't been himself, he has been a shadow of himself even at school. Hr hardly talk, laugh or discuss about the things that happened at school like he used to do. Sometimes Sarah and Richard takes him out in order to distract him a little bit and also get him to be as lively as before but all that to no avail. Like every other day, the nurse that usually checks up on Xavier every morning was busy checking up on him when she noticed that his fingers were moving, and at the same time he slowly opened his eyes. The nurse seeing that he have waken up widened her eyes in surprise. "Ooh my goodness sir, you are finally awake," she said to Xavier in amazement. "Where am I?" Xavier asked her in a low tone. "You are at the hospital sir, a minute, let me go and call the doctor," she said to Xavier and was about to walk out of the ward but was interrupted by Xavier's voice as he asked her to wait. "For how long have I been here?" Xavier asked her. "Five months sir, you were actually in a coma," she said to Xavier. "What!" Xavier exclaimed in surprise not believing that he have been asleep for almost five months.. "What about Sarah?" Xavier asked her. "You mean your wife? She's okay, she have been so worried about you," the nurse said to Xavier who was surprised by the fact that the nurse was addressing Sarah as his wife, but yet he remained silent. "And she even visits everyday. Surely she will be here in the evening, but if you want us to call her immediately to let her know that you are awake already we will call her," the nurse said to Xavier. "Yes call her please, tell her I want to see her," Xavier said to the nurse who nodded in reply. "I will call her right away to inform her that you are already awake, but before that I will also inform the doctor that you are already awake so that he can come and examine you," the nurse said to Xavier who nodded in reply before slowly adjusting himself on the bed. Once the nurse left, he slowly raised the hospital gown he was putting on in order to get a proper view of the spot on which he was shot, happily it had already healed up, ghf only thing that was remaining was the scar. After some minutes, the doctor walked into the ward with his stethoscope hanging around his neck as usual. After discussing with Xavier for a little bit, he also examined him for some minutes before informing him that he would stay in the hospital for at least a week for proper check up before he will be discharged. As the doctor was about to walk out of the ward Sarah immediately dashed into the ward and without even caring to greet the doctor she rushed towards Xavier and hugged him tightly taken aback. Meanwhile the doctor knowing that they needed some time together slowly walked out of the ward without saying anything to both of them. "Wow I have really missed this hug," Xavier said to Sarah as she was hugging him and with that she quickly disengaged from the hug before looking at him with a deep frown and before Xavier could understand what was going, she spank him on the head. "Ouch, what was that for?" Xavier asked her while while rubbing his head. "That's for sleeping for almost five months and getting all of us worried as hell. Do you know how many sleepless nights I have had for this past five months you have been in coma?" She's asked Xavier with a displeased tone. "Wow I never knew that some people still cared about me till the extent of having sleepless nights Just because I was in coma," Xavier said to Sarah with a sarcastic tone causing her to frown more. "Are you serious right now?" Sarah asked him with a deep frown and with that Xavier smiled at her. "Come on, I was just pulling your legs, how have you been since all this while and what about Justin?" Xavier asked her. "Fine as you can see, we were all affected by your absence especially Justin, I can't even imagine his joy when he finally sees you awake. He's still at school, I will go and fetch him after school and bring him here so that he can see you," Sarah said to Xavier who nodded in reply. "What about you, how are you feeling?" Sarah asked him before placing her hand on his forehead. "I'm feeling good, I'm happy to be back again," Xavier said to her with a warm smile. "By the way thanks for saving me and my uncle back then we really appreciate it," Sarah said to him. "Don't mention it please, it's no big deal after all, but I want something in return," Xavier said to her. "What is it?" Sarah asked him with a furrowed brows "Marry me, I promise I won't be a coward again I will do all my best to be a good man this time around" Xavier said to her and with that Sarah smiled at him. "Consider it as done," she said to him before claiming his lips and kissing him passionately as if her life depended on it.. To be continued...
