Chapter 56: Final Decision
It was a Friday morning the following day after Sarah had invited Charles over for dinner.
Sarah had woken up early in the morning to get Justin ready for school. She didn't want the maids to be the ones to get Justin ready while she was around; she only asked the maids to prepare the breakfast while she took care of anything concerning Justin.
The previous day, after she left Xavier's office, Xavier had called the maids to arrange all Justin's important belongings, including luggage.
Afterwards, he asked Ben to take the luggage to Sarah's mansion, knowing that Justin would need his belongings the following day, including his school uniform.
After getting him ready, Sarah asked him to go and eat his meal while she too got herself ready.
After some minutes, she had already finished preparing, but when she came to the sitting room, she was surprised to see Justin, whom she thought would be eating, busy discussing with her uncle.
Once she came out, Justin immediately started eating his food while avoiding her gaze.
"Good morning, my little girl. How was your night?" Richard asked Sarah, who had already joined them at the dining table.
"It was fine, Dad; what about yours?" Sarah asked him while scooping the food onto her plate.
"Mine is too fine, but you don't have the facial expression of someone who is fine," Richard said to Sarah, who was still frowning while eating her food.
"How am I supposed to have a happy facial expression while you were busy talking with Justin instead of asking him to eat faster? You know we are already running late, and I have to go to his school and clarify things about the event that took place yesterday before going to the company.
"I'm so sorry, dear. Justin, eat your food faster, your mom is getting late for work," Richard said to Justin before looking at Sarah, who rolled her eyes at him while eating her food.
"By the way, Sarah, how was your meeting with Xavier yesterday?" Richard asked Sarah, who was still eating her food, and immediately Justin turned his gaze towards Sarah, but a glare from her was enough to make him return his attention to the food he was eating.
"The meeting was fine, only that I wasn't okay with some of his clauses," Sarah said to him.
"What clauses?" Richard asked her.
"He wanted me to employ him as my personal assistant," Sarah said to Richard.
"Dad wants you to employ him." Justin asked Sarah excitedly.
"Justin!!!" Richard and Sarah screamed his name at once, and immediately he bent his head and continued eating his food.
"So what reply did you give him?" Richard asked Sara.
"I haven't given him a reply yet," Sarah said to him while wiping away the oil from Justin's mouth, who had already finished eating.
"What reply are you going to give him?" Richard asked her.
"Dad I don't know yet; I'm still thinking about it. Justin, let's get going before your grandpa kills me with all his questions," Sarah said to Justin before holding his hand and dragging him to the door.
"Mum, my schoolbag," Justin said to her, and with that, Sarah left him so that he could go and take his schoolbag. Once he took his schoolbag, he rushed towards Richard and hugged him.
"Goodbye grandpa; see you in the afternoon," Richard said to him.
"Goodbye, my champion. Please don't leave school again. I will come and fetch you in the afternoon. Don't go anywhere or follow anyone anywhere after school," Richard said to him.
"Okay, grandpa," Justin said to him before running off and joining Sarah, who was already heading to the garage.
Once they got to the garage, they both entered the car before zooming off.
"Hope you heard what your grandpa told you? Don't leave school or follow anyone anywhere after school; he would come and fetch you after school," Sarah said to him.
"Okay, mom," Justin said to her in reply.
"By the way, why don't you like Uncle Charles?" Sarah asked him, and immediately he looked at her confusedly.
"Who is Uncle Charles?" Justin asked her.
"The uncle who had dinner with us last night," Sarah said to him, and immediately he frowned.
"Did he do anything wrong to you in the past?" Sarah asked him, and he shook his head negatively.
"So why do you hate him?" Sarah asked him.
"You kissed him," Justin said to Sarah, and immediately she furrowed her brows at him.
"And what's wrong with that? He's my boyfriend, so I can kiss him," Sarah said to him, and at the same time, she wondered why her six-year-old son was angry because she asked her boyfriend.
"What about Daddy?" Justin asked her, and immediately he sighed heavily.
"Come on, Justin, your dad and I aren't together anymore; he married another woman, and me too I want to marry another man. You don't need to worry; Uncle Charles is a good person; even if I marry him, he will take care of you like his own son," Sarah said to him.
"But I don't like him; what about if you forgive Daddy and the two of you get back together? He and my second Mummy had already divorced,' Justin said to Sarah, and immediately she sighed heavily.
"You see, Justin, things don't work that way; even if I try to explain it to you, you won't understand. Why don't you give Uncle Charles a chance just like I did? He's a good person, I can assure you that," Sarah said to Justin.
"I don't want to; I want you and Dad to be together just the same way the Daddy and Mummy of my friends are together," Justin said to Sarah.
"Look, Justin, I'm already tired of discussing this issue with you. When you meet your dad, ask him why the both of us can't stay together, alright?" Sarah asked him before pulling over in front of the school and getting out of the car.
With that, Justin too got down, and Sarah held his hand and started walking into the school.
As they were walking into the school, Sarah could clearly see the gazes of some parents on her while others were busy whispering words to each other, asking if she was Justin's mother.
Without paying attention to any of them, she walked into the director's office with Justin.
After discussing with him for over thirty minutes, they took Justin to his class while Sarah started heading outside.
Once she came out, she entered her car before bringing out her phone and placing a call across to Xavier, who picked up after some minutes of ringing.
"Good morning, Xavier. How are you?" Sarah asked him once he picked up the call.
"As long as you are the first person to call me this morning, I'm fine," Xavier said to Sarah.
"Whatever, I have decided to buy your company despite the clauses; are you already at your company so that we can sign the agreement?" Sarah asked him.
"Yes, I'm at the company; I just arrived," Xavier said to her.
"Okay, I'm already on my way," Sarah said to him before hanging up, and with that, she ignited her car and zoomed off.
