Chapter 80: Feigning Sickness

After receiving the prizes, Justin took the bunny and wanted to hand it to Sarah but he was interrupted by Charles who immediately screamed: "no!!" _______________________________ "What?" Sarah asked him with a furrowed brows. "You aren't collecting something from him right?" Charles asked Sarah before looking at Xavier in disdain. "Yes you are right, I can't Coll something from him, but I can from my son," Sarah said to Charles before collecting the bunny from Justin. "Mummy I want to urinate, can you take me to the restroom?" Justin asked Sarah with tensed tone. "Yes of course, let's get going," she said to Justin before standing up and turning to Charles. "Please babe, let me take him to the restroom, I will be back in some minutes," Sarah said to Charles and he nodded in reply, with that he started walking without even sparing a glance at Xavier. Once Sarah left, Charles started glaring angrily at Xavier and immediately Xavier looked at him and noticed how Charles was glaring at himw he scoffed at him while smirking sinisterly. "What's with that look Mr. Charles? One would think that I took something precious from you," Xavier said to Charles with a wicked smirk. "Xavier, can I know what is wrong with you, have you become that jobless to the extent that you now follow me around everywhere?" Charles asked Xavier with an angry tone and with that Xavier smirked at him while shaking his head in disbelief. "Last time I checked, today is Saturday or do you also go to work on Saturdays?" Xavier asked Charles but he remained silent while staring at him. "And for your information, the last thing I will do is to follow you around, even if I wanted to do that, I have people who would take care of that, but unfortunately, you aren't worth my time, so instead of waisting my time following you around, I would rather spend my time with my son and if possible he will be accompanied by his mother," Xavier said to Charles with a wicked. "Look Xavier, I know what you and your son are planning, the both of you are working together to see that I don't get married to Sarah, but allow me to tell you this, your plans aren't going to work, no matter how hard both of you try, the marriage is still going to take place," Charles said to Sarah. "To be sincere man, I really your confidence, despite knowing that the marriage isn't going to take place, you are still keep your hopes so high, and if care isn't taken, your hope might become too high till the extent that it will be out of your reach," Xavier said to Charles and immediately he smiled at Charles while bitting his lips in order to surpress his anger. "Do you know one thing I can't wait to see? It's the look on your face and that of your son when I will be exchanging vows with Sarah on the altar on our wedding day," Charles said to Xavier. "Well you can keep on dreaming my dear friend, after all not all dreams comes to reality, some are just mere dreams. So instead of daydreaming about getting married to Sarah, try spending more time with her while I on the other hand keep on trying to unveil to whatever you are hiding," Xavier said to Charles and immediately he clinched his fist angrily. As he was about to reply, Sarah came back with Justin who was still looking so tensed, and once Charles saw him, he immediately diverted his gaze from Xavier so that Sarah won't notice the anger evident in his eyes and starts asking him question. "Charles I'm sorry to say this, but Justin and I will be heading back home... "What!! But why?" Charles chipped in not allowing Sarah to finish what she was saying. "He is having a running stomach once again, I have to take him to the hospital before taking him back home," Sarah said to Charles and immediately Xavier furrowed his brows on surprise wondering how Justin suddenly started having a running stomach. "But how is that even possible? He was looking fine some minutes ago," Charles said to Sarah with a surprised tone. "Yes you are right, but don't forget that he's a kid and he can become sick at anytime, probably he had eaten something his body isn't okay with and he have been having a running stomach recently, and we had treated it recently, surely what he ate provoked it," Sarah said to Charles. "But Xavier can take him to the hospital, after all, he was the one who brought him and..." Charles tried protesting but was stopped by Sarah's exclamation' "No Charles!!! I'm taking my son to the hospital myself," Sarah said to Charles with a firm tone and Charles frowned at her while Justin started wincing in pain once again. "Hey Justin are you okay?" Xavier asked him before approaching him and squatting down next to him. "No Dad, my stomach is hurting so bad," Justin said to Xavier and with that he winked at him. Without thinking twice, Xavier realized that he was faking it, probably he's trying to separate Charles from Sarah under the pretext of a running stomach. "Okay no problem, just hold on a little bit, Mum will take you to the hospital," Xavier said to him and he nodded in reply before wincing in pain once again and holding Sarah's hand. "I'm so sorry my angel, let's get going," Sarah said to Justin with a worried tone before holding his hand and walking away without even uttering a word to Charles. "Come Sarah," Charles called out to her as she was walking away and with that she stopped and turned around. "What about us, don't you even care about me, even if it's a little bit?" Charles asked her with a painful expression written all over his face. To be continued...
