Chapter 53: His Effects On Me

"No, I didn't; I think he will start staying with me from now on," Sarah said to him. "What?" Xavier asked her. __________________ "Yes, you heard me right; he will start staying with me from now on," Sarah said to him. "But... "But what?" Sarah asked him with furrowed brows. "We never discussed something like this; you can't just take him away like that," Sarah said to him. "Really?" Sarah asked him with a wicked smirk hovering over her face. "Yes, Sarah, things are not done that way," Xavier said to Sarah, and immediately she smiled more. "You see, Xavier, you never cease to amaze me. Some minutes ago, you were the one reminding me of what happened five or six years ago, but you didn't remember that five years ago you took Justin away from me without my consent; you deprived a child of his mother's tender care. Why? Just because of some f**king property and here you are telling me that things aren't done the way I'm doing them, well, allow me to tell you this: I'm doing things exactly the way I want it, and there's nothing you can do about it; the only thing you can do is sue me to court, and when you do, I will still win the case," Sarah said to him with a daring tone, and immediately a silent atmosphere engulfed the office. "Sarah, tell me, are you determined to take everything away from me?" Xavier asked her after some minutes of silence, and with that, Sarah scoffed at his question. "Take everything away from you." Sarah asked him before smirking at him. "What if I tell you yes, the same way you took everything away from me and wasted three of my precious years turning into a breeder without my consent?" Sarah said to Xavier with a sinister smile, but he remained silent while looking at her. "You should be happy because I haven't yet started, so for now enjoy everything you have to the full because when I start, I won't be able to stop until you end up in the streets where heartless people like you belong," Sarah said to him. "Wow, and is there not something I can do to earn your forgiveness?" Xavier asked her. "No, there's nothing you can do; all you have to do is sit down and watch as events unfold," Sarah said to Xavier, and immediately he grinned at her. "So your main aim is to take everything away from me, and there's nothing I can do that will make you change your mind?" Xavier asked her before standing up from his chair and  started approaching her. "Yes, there's nothing you can do, and why are you approaching me like that?" Sarah asked Xavier, who was approaching her with a sinister smile hovering over his face. "Stop right where you are; if not, I'm going to shout," Sarah said to him while taking some steps backwards. "Ok, go on and shout, but mind you that this office is soundproofed," Xavier said to her while approaching her. "Shit," Sarah muttered inwardly and tried running towards the door, but immediately Xavier held her hand and drew back, causing her head to collide on his chest, and at the same time, he wrapped his hand around her waist, stopping her from moving. As he was staring into her innocent eyes, he could already hear her heart pounding heavily in her chest. "What are you doing?" Sarah asked him with a deep frown. "Nothing; I just wanted to confirm that you still have the same innocent eye you had five years ago, and surprisedly, it still hasn't changed. Who would believe that a lady with innocent eyes like yours can hurt someone?" Xavier said to her. "Point of correction, I don't hurt people; I only hurt those who hurt me in the past," Sarah said to him. I will also appreciate it if you let me go; you know I can sue you for harassment," Sarah said to him. "Yes, you are right, but unfortunately, you don't have any proof to support your accusation. I didn't force you into my office; you came in voluntarily," Xavier said to Sarah before pulling her closer, and immediately she gasped before frowning at him. "You know you look more beautiful when you frown," Xavier said to her before trailing his hand on her face and pushing away the strands of her hair covering her face. "And your lips, red and inviting as usual, any man would die for it," Xavier said to Sarah before placing his hand on her lips. For a reason unknown to her, instead of screaming at him or pushing him away, she kept on looking at him with her eyes wide open, and at the same time, her heart kept on pounding in her chest. "Can I kiss you?" Xavier asked her, jolting her back to reality. "What!" Sarah exclaimed before placing her two hands on Xavier's chest and pushing him backwards, freeing herself from his embrace. "I still can't believe that despite all the hate you have towards me, I still have such an effect on you. Well,  I'm not surprised; after all, you are mine,Xavier said to her with a smirk. "What do you mean by that?" Sarah asked him with furrowed brows. "Why don't you take a look at your face so that you can know what I'm talking about?" Xavier said to her before returning to her chair. Without hesitating, Sarah took her phone and checked her face, only to realize that her two cheeks were flushing red. Without uttering a word to Xavier, she brought out her makeup kit and applied some powder to her cheeks. Meanwhile, Xavier, who was watching her, couldn't help but smile at himself. "Nothing happened between the both of us," Sarah said to him when she realized how he was smiling. "Of course nothing happened, unless you wanted something to happen," Xavier said to her, and immediately she rolled her eyes at him. "I will be taking my leave now," Sarah said to him after returning her makeup kit inside her bag. "About Justin, you aren't planning to keep him away from me, or are you?" Xavier asked her. "Why would I do something like that? I'm not you after all; you can come and see him whenever you want," Sarah said to him before walking out of the office. Once she left, Xavier smiled at himself before opening his computer and saving all their pictures together that were captured by the hidden CCTV camera in his office. To be continued...
