Chapter 129: Going To Her Rescue
"Okay, whenever you do it, just let me know," Xavier said to Sarah, who rolled her eyes at him before walking away. Getting into her office, she sat down on her chair and switched on her computer and was about to start working when her phone started ringing once again. Sighing heavily, she took the phone and checked the caller ID, which was her uncle, before picking it up, but when she placed the phone on her ear, the voice of the person she heard was totally different from that of her uncle, and hearing the person's voice alone sent shivers down her spine.

"Charles," Sarah muttered as her hand started trembling.
"Hello sweetheart, surprise!! How have you been?" Charles asked her through the phone.
"Charles, what are you doing with my father's phone?" Sarah asked him with a frightened tone, fearing that it shouldn't be what she was thinking.
"Ooh that, we are just having a chitchat," Charles said to her through the phone.
"What do you mean by you are having a chitchat with my father? Can you please pass him the phone? I want to speak with him," Sarah said to him.
"I'm sorry, dear, but that won't be possible; if you want to speak with your dad, then you have to come and meet him where he is," Charles said to her.
"Where are you?" Sarah asked him with a firm tone.
"Cool down, dear, I will send you the address very soon, but note this: do not come along with anyone or even think about telling anyone about this, not the cops or even your useless ex-husband Xavier; if not consider your father dead, when you will come here what you will see is his corpse," Charles said to her with a venomous tone through the phone.
"Charles, please don't hurt my father. I swear I won't tell anyone about this. Just send me the address. I will come and meet you. Anything you want, I will give it to you, but please don't hurt my dad," Sarah said to him, and without realizing it, hot tears started streaming down her cheeks. Her uncle was her weak point; no matter how stubborn and strong-headed she is, when it comes to her uncle, she immediately breaks down.
"That's good, sweetheart; I will send you the address right away," Charles said to her before hanging up, and after some minutes, a notification popped into Sarah's phone, and without hesitating, she took her phone and checked the address sent to her by Charles, and with that, she quickly arranged all her important belongings inside her bag before wiping away the tears on her face, and with that, she rushed out of the office and started heading to the parking lot to take her car. Getting into her car, she immediately drove off while following the direction to the location sent to her by Charles.
After driving for almost thirty minutes, she finally got to the destination sent to her by Charles, but surprisedly, there wasn't even a single house in the area; it was literally a lonely area.
Pulling out her phone from her bag, she placed a call across the number Charles had used to call her, but to her greatest disappointment, the call didn't go through. Ruffling her hair in frustration, she tried placing it across him once again, but immediately she felt a sharp, tiny object stabbing directly into her neck. Groaning in pain, she quickly pulled out the object only to see that it was a syringe, and the recipient inside the syringe had been injected into her neck. With panick surging through her body, she quickly turned around to see who shot the syringe at her, and at the same time her vision started becoming blurry. As she was still trying to stay on her feet, she spotted someone walking towards her while holding a gun, but due to her blurry vision, she couldn't see the person's face properly, and before she could even realize what was going on, she passed out.
Meanwhile, Xavier was in his office working on the file Sarah asked him to work on when his phone suddenly started ringing. Without hesitating, he quickly took the phone and checked the caller ID, who was the security guard assigned to watch over the security cameras. Seeing his call, Xavier immediately knew that something was wrong. The security guard was initially working for him when he was the CEO, but when he sold the company to Sarah, the security guard started working for her, but despite that, he has always remained loyal to him, and he has also told him to alert him if he ever notices anything unusual about Sarah whenever he isn't around. Without hesitating, he quickly picked up the call and placed the phone in his ear.
"Hello James, How are you doing?" Xavier asked him after picking up the call.
"I'm good, sir. Can you please come over? I have something I want to show you," the security guard said to him.
"Okay, I will be there in some minutes," Xavier said to him before standing up and switching off the computer, and with that, he walked out of the office and went directly to the office of the security guard. On getting there, he placed a knock and waited for the reply of the security guard before walking inside.
"Hello sir, please come and take a look at this," the security guard said to Xavier once he came inside the office.
"Yes, what is it?" Xavier asked him before taking a look at the footage of the security camera that was playing.
"If you take a proper look, you will see that she's crying while heading to her car," the security guard said to Xavier.
"Yes, I can see it," Xavier said to him before quickly bringing out his phone and placing a call across Sarah's phone, but she didn't pick up after some minutes of ringing. Without hesitating, he quickly placed a call across Ben.
"Thank you, Xavier said to the security guard before walking out of the office, and at the same time Ben picked up the call.
"Hello, sir, good morning," Ben greeted him after picking up the call.
"Yes, good morning, Ben. Hurry up and give me Sarah's current location," Xavier said to him.
"Okay, sir, give me a minute," Ben said to him before hanging up, and after some minutes, Xavier received the location from Ben, and without hesitating, he rushed into his office and grabbed his car keys before rushing out of the company.
