Chapter 89: Pouring Out My Heart To Him
"Why are you stammering? This wasn't how you were sounding yesterday on the phone, or have I started having effects on you?" Xavier asked her while peering into her eyeballs.
"Xavier," she tried calling his name again, but once again she stammered.
'This is going to be fun,' Xavier thought inwardly.

Meanwhile, Sarah, not wanting to stammer, once again decided to keep silent.
"You see, Sarah, right from the beginning, you have always been mine, and you will always be mine, and do you know why? It's because I'm the only one who knows how to render you speechless and also make you feel wanted at the same time; aside from me, no one else can do that.
Tell me, since you started dating your so-called fiancee, or whatever you call him, has he ever made you feel wanted, just like I do? I want you to be sincere with me,even if it's for this time only," Xavier said to her while peering into her innocent eyeballs.
"You are right, Xavier; you are the only man who has ever rendered me speechless and also made me feel wanted at the same time, but all that is in the past, and unfortunately, I don't live in the past.
"I know exactly what you are trying to do; I know the reason why you started acting possessive around me, trying to prevent me from getting married to Charles; it's because you are now regretting everything you did to me six years ago; you are now regretting choosing Claudia over me and betraying me because of your father's properties, and now you want me back, but I'm sorry to say this; it's too late to apologize; your apologies can't change anything, or can they? The deed has been done, and the only thing we can do is live with it and suffer any consequences that come with it. Maybe if you had been this possessive around me six years ago, we wouldn't be here today, and I wouldn't be getting married to someone even though your son doesn't approve of it. We would have had the happy family that your son is wishing for, but you ruined everything because of your selfish desires. So please do me a favor and stop reminding me of things only you can do to me, because when you remember that for me, it makes me go wild, and when I go wild, I do things without thinking about the consequences because that's the only thing that makes me feel better," Sarah said to Xavier, and without realizing it, hot tears started streaming down her cheeks.
Placing her hand on Xavier's chest, she pulled away from him, rushed to her bag, took her handkerchief, and started wiping away the tears on her face.
Meanwhile, Xavier, seeing how hurt she was, became speechless immediately. Even when he opened his mouth to speak, he couldn't come up with the right words he could say to her in order to console her; probably that was because he himself was the cause of her pain.
"What are you still doing in my office?" Sarah asked him after some minutes while glaring angrily.
"Look, Sarah, I know...
"Get out!!" Sarah yelled at him, not allowing him to finish what he wanted to say.
"What are you still waiting for? I say get out!!! And don't you dare make an attempt on me again; if not, I might forget that you are Justin's father, and I won't think twice before sueing you for harassment," Sarah said to him with a cold tone.
Without uttering a word, Xavier looked at her for a few seconds before sighing heavily and walking out of the office.
Once he left, Sarah collapsed on the chair and started crying her eyes out. The reason she was crying her eyes out was something she couldn't tell, whether it's because she just poured out her heart to Xavier after six good years or because Xavier just made her remember the pain she went through six years ago.
As she was still sitting on her chair, crying her eyes out, she heard a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" She asked while adjusting her voice a little bit so that the person who was knocking wouldn't realize that she was crying.
"It's Tasha, ma'am," the secretary said to her in reply.
"Okay, how can I help you?" Sarah asked her from inside the office.
"Actually, I wanted to let you know that the ceremony is about to begin and your presence is requested," the secretary said to her.
"Okay, Tasha, I will be there in a minute," Sarah said from inside the office.
"Okay, ma'am," the secretary replied before walking away.
Once she left, Sarah stood up and took her handkerchief and wiped away the tears on her face, and afterwards she took her makeup kit from her bag and applied it to her face. After sobbing for some minutes, her tears had ruined the makeup she applied while coming to work.
After applying the makeup to her face, she arranged the makeup kit in her bag before taking her handbag and exiting her office.
As she was heading to the elevator that would take her to the floor where the ceremony was taking place, her secretary quickly ran towards her in order to assist her.
"Go to the office of my personal assistant and tell him to join me for the ceremony right away," Sarah said to her.
"Okay, ma'am," the secretary said to Sarah in reply before walking away, and with that, Sarah sighed heavily before walking into the elevator and closing it, and afterwards she selected the third floor, which was where the ceremony was taking place.
After some minutes, the elevator stopped, and the door of the elevator opened.
'"It's play time," she muttered to herself before stepping out of the elevator and heading to the place where the ceremony was taking place.
To be continued...
