Chapter 95: Don't Judge People By Their Facial Expressions
It was some minutes to six PM, Xavier had just finished working on the tons of files Sarah had asked him to work on.
Looking at the tons of documents he had worked on he just couldn't believe his eyes.
If someone had told him in the past that one day he would be the work he used to ask his employees to do, he would have never believed it, but right now he's the one doing it and it's not as if he didn't have a choice, of course he had a choice, he has he new company that he haven't revealed to anyone but he has Sarah from getting married to Charles at all cost knowing that Charles'act of love towards her isn't genuine and secondly Charles getting married to her is going to ruin his every chance of winning her back.
So he's ready to make any sacrifice to get her back, even if it means working as her personal assistant in the same company in which he has been a CEO not minding what people had to say about it.
After all what he's going through is nothing compared to what he made her go through six year ago.
As this thoughts were running through his mind, he heard a knock on the door jolting him back to reality.
"Please come in," he said without asking who it is. Once the door bursted open Tasha the secretary walked in.
"Good evening sir," she greeted Xavier who was still busy arranging the documents he had already finished working on.
"Yeah good evening Tasha how are you?" Xavier asked her without looking at her.
"I'm fine sir what about you?" She asked Xavier.
"I'm too Tasha, how can I help you?" Xavier asked her before raising his head and looking at her.
"Actually Mrs. Sarah asked me to check if you have finished working on the documents she asked you to work on and if you are done, to keep it in her company that she will check it out tomorrow.
"What about her, is she gone already?" Xavier asked her.
"Yeah, she just left," Tasha said to Xavier who nodded in reply.
"Okay, here are the documents, you can take it to her office," Xavier said to her before showing her the tons of documents piled up on his desk. Immediately the secretary saw the uncountable numbers of documents on Xavier's desk, she widened her eyes in surprise.
"Sir did you work on all this?" Tasha asked Xavier with a surprised tone.
"Yes I did, is there any problem?" Xavier asked her.
"No, actually all this is too much for one person," Tasha said to Xavier and with that he smiled at her before shaking his head in disbelief. If there's one thing he likes about her, it's her outspokenness, and that was one of the reasons why he employed her. She wasn't the type to keep quiet she notices that something is wrong, as long as she haven't said it out, she won't be at ease.
"Come on Tasha, I'm the one who worked on the documents and I'm not complaining, but here you are complaining on my behalf," Xavier said to her.
But sir what I'm saying is true and secondly why did you sell the company to Mrs. Sarah at first place, she's nothing compared to you, and she looks so intimidating, her stare is already enough to make someone pee in his pants, I'm sure that is the reason why you had divorced her, " Tasha said to Xavier before pulling out the chair and sitting down.
"I will advise you to be careful about how you talk about your new boss, mind you that I'm now a simple employee like you and I can't help you if you allow your mouth to get you into trouble," Xavier said to her.
"Okay sir, I will be careful about what I say from now on, but why did you sell the company and applied to become the personal assistant of the new boss?" She asked Xavier once again.
"Well for now the I can't tell you the main reasons behind the decisions I took recently, but when the right time comes, I will tell you and as for your new boss, she might look intimidating just as you stated but believe me, she has a good heart," Xavier said to her.
"Really?" The secretary asked Xavier with a surprised tone.
"Yes and believe me, she didn't look this intimidating six years ago, I was the reason why she turned cold presently, so don't judge people through their facial expression, if you don't know their story," Xavier said to Tasha.
"Okay sir, but what really happened between both of you?" Tasha asked Xavier.
"It's a long story and I can't tell you now, it's almost six pm, maybe next time I will tell you. Take the documents to her office, I'm also about to leave," Xavier said to her.
"Okay sir, but next time if you a lot of works like this, you can send some to me, I will gladly help you out," Tasha said to Xavier before packing the tons of documents on Xavier's desk.
"No problem Tasha, thanks a lot," Xavier said to her.
"Don't mention it," she asked to Xavier before walking out of the office with the documents.
Once she left, Xavier ruffled his hair tiredly ans with that he stood up and started arranging his belongings inside his briefcase. As he was busy arranging it, his phone started ringing, without hesitating he took his phone and checked the caller ID before picking up.
"Hello doctor how are you?" Xavier asked the doctor through the phone.
"I'm good Mr. Xavier, how was your day?" The doctor asked him.
"It was fine what about yours?" Charles asked him.
"Mine too was good, I wanted to inform you that he had just waken up," the doctor said to him.
"Really?" Xavier asked him excitedly.
"Yes, he just walked up," the doctor said to Xavier and immediately he heaved a sigh of relief.
"Thank you so much doctor, please tell him that I will be there in some minutes," Xavier said to the doctor.
"Okay I will tell him right away," the doctor said to him before hanging up.
Once the call was hanged up Xavier heaved a sigh of relief once again before taking his briefcase and rushing out of his office and heading to the garage.
