Chapter 35: Ruining Her Image.
"Stay away from me; you aren't my mother," Justin thundered angrily at Sarah while ignoring the tears streaming down her cheeks.
"What are you saying, Justin? I'm your mother," Sarah said to him while trying to touch him, but immediately he shifted back, moving closer to Xavier and Claudia, who were busy smirking at her.
"If you were really my mother, you wouldn't have abandoned me; please stay away from me; these are my real parents," Justin said to her before pointing at Xavier and Claudia.
"As for you, you are nothing to me," Justin said to Sarah with no emotion.
"Hearing these statements coming from Justin, Sarah's heart shattered into pieces.
"Please, Justin, I didn't abandon you; I swear I didn't abandon you," Sarah said to Justin while trying to touch him, but immediately Claudia grabbed her hand and pushed her away.
"Didn't you hear what he said? He asked you to stay away from him; he doesn't want to see you, so get lost," Claudia said to Sarah, hatred evident in her voice.
"I don't know what kind of mother you are; how could you abandon your own child? Luckily, he is smart; if not, he would have believed all the lies you told him about us. You better get lost before I call the cops on you," Claudia said to Sarah, who was still sobbing uncontrollably.
"You know that's not true; both of you took him away from me; I never abandoned him. Justin, please believe me, I didn't abandon you," Sarah said to Justin, but he remained silent while staring at her coldly with no emotions.
"Didn't you hear what I said? Get lost," Claudia said to Sarah while pushing her out of the mansion, but Sarah kept on struggling with her while trying to speak to Justin, who was still looking at her coldly.
As she was still struggling with Claudia, she immediately jolted up from the bed while panting heavily.
"It was just a dream," she muttered to herself before touching her cheeks and realizing that she had been crying while sleeping.
"What type of dream is this? I hope this doesn't happen when I want to claim my son back," Sarah muttered to herself before taking her phone and unlocking it.
With that, she logged into her social media handle, but the first update she saw almost pulled her eyes out of her socket. It was the photos of her and Charles dancing at the nightclub. From the pictures posted, it was clear that whoever posted the pictures wanted to ruin her image, because all the posted images were of Charles holding sensually as they were dancing, with some captions like "always acting like a saint but a whore in reality." And the worst part of the whole story was that Charles images were blurred out; only hers were displayed clearly.
As she was still strolling through the wild images of her and Charles posted with many hateful comments being commented under, an incoming call from Lucy immediately popped in, and without hesitating, she immediately picked up the phone.
"Hello Lucy, how are you?" Sarah asked her.
"I'm fine, Sarah. I hope I didn't interrupt your sleep." Lucy asked her.
"No, of course; I had already woken up before you called," Sarah said to her in reply.
"OK, have you gone online this morning?" Lucy asked her.
"Yes, and I have also seen my pictures trending online," Sarah said to her.
"But who could have done such a thing?" Lucy asked Sarah over the phone.
"I don't know, but whoever posted took those pictures and posted them was trying to ruin my image; as you can see, Charles' images didn't reflect only mine," Sarah said to Lucy.
"But do you think that Charles was behind this?" Lucy asked Sarah.
"I don't think so; whoever did it was behind me, not Charles; that's why he blurred out Charles' images and left mine," Sarah said to Lucy.
"I'm really sorry; all this is my fault," Lucy said to Sarah.
"How is it your fault?" Sarah asked her over the phone.
"I was the one who showed the restaurant to you; if we hadn't gone to that restaurant, you wouldn't have seen Charles, and none of this would have happened," Lucy said to Sarah.
"None of this was your fault; I don't like it when people blame themselves for things they didn't do. I was the one who took you out; I was the one who asked you to choose a restaurant. There was no way you could have known that something like this was going to happen, so stop blaming yourself," Sarah said to her.
"Okay, Sarah, but what are you going to do about the photos of you trending on every social media site?" Lucy asked her.
"Don't worry about it; I'm going to find a solution to it as soon as possible; after all, there isn't a problem without a solution," Sarah said to Lucy.
"I hope you will find a solution as soon as possible. I might not be a CEO, but I know that these photos trending online are going to have negative impacts on the company," Lucy said to her.
"You are right about it, but you don't need to worry about it; I'm going to take care of it as soon as possible, if I don't come to the company today; represent me," Sarah said to her.
"OK, I will do that. Have a nice day," Lucy said to her.
"Same to you," Sarah said to her before hanging up. Once she hung up, she stood up and started heading towards the sitting room. As she was approaching the sitting room, she could already hear the voice of her uncle discussing something with someone on the phone.
"Do anything that it takes to bring those photos down, no matter how much it costs. Just take those photos down, and if it's possible, track down whoever posted those pictures online. I want to know his motives and what he has against my daughter," Richard said to the person with whom he was discussing it, and after some minutes, he hung up the call and turned around, only to meet Sarah standing behind him.
"I really messed up this time around, didn't I?" Sarah asked her uncle.
"You didn't do anything wrong, dear; you aren't a slave; you have the liberty to live your life as you want it. The only person that messed up was the person who took those pictures and uploaded them online; whoever it is should pray that I don't get my hands on him because he won't like my other side," Richard said to her before approaching her and hugging her tightly.
