Chapter 79: Winning For Her
"What about you if I win it for you?" A voice sounded from behind, and immediately Sarah and Charles turned around, only to see Xavier and Justin standing behind them while grinning ear to ear.
**Some minutes ago**
Justin was sitting on a swing in the central park, laughing his heart out as Xavier was behind him, pushing him forward whenever his swing brought him backwards.
As he was busy enjoying the swing, he suddenly sighted Charles and Sarah walking into the park while discussing and laughing, and with that, he felt a surge of anger overwhelm him.
For a very long time, he has always wished to have a happy and complete family, just like his classmates, who have always bullied him. First, it was because he didn't know who his mother was, and afterwards, it was because his parents weren't living together.
After Claudia divorced Xavier, he was happy knowing that there was a possibility that his parents would come back together, even though both weren't on good terms, he was determined to do everything in his power to bring them back together but all his hope shattered the day Charles came to their house looking for Sarah, at first he had thought that he was just her friend, but to his greatest surprise, when Sarah came back home she kissed him before all of them and that was when he knew that she was his mother's boyfriend and learning about that only made him to develop a very strong hatred towards him because to him, his parents were never going to get back together as long as Charles was around, and they might even get married soon which will in turn result to him being bullied at school forever and not also getting to know how it feels to be in a happy complete family.
Thinking of all this only made him hate Charles more and more, and seeing him with his mother once again revived the hatred once again.
"Daddy, can we go and play another game?" Justin asked Xavier when the swing swung backward.
"Yes, of course. What other game do you want to play?" Xavier asked him.
"Follow me, let me show you," Justin said to Xavier before getting down from the swing, and with that, he held his hand and started heading towards the place where he had sighted Charles and Sarah going.
After some minutes of walking, he saw them in front of the target board game, but Xavier, who was still following him from behind, didn't even notice them until Justin pointed at the game he wanted to play. At that moment, he saw Sarah standing in front of the game and Charles, on the other hand, struggling to win the game.
"Do you know how to play the game?" Xavier asked Justin after some minutes of silence, and he nodded negatively.
"Then why did you bring me here if you don't know how to play, or is it because of your mom and uncle Charles?" Xavier asked him with furrowed brows.
"No, it's because I want you to win the game for me, and since Uncle Charles doesn't know how to win, maybe you can also win for Mummy," Justin said to Xavier, and immediately he sighed heavily.
"What about if we go and play another game and leave them alone for today?" Xavier asked Justin.
"No, Dad, it's this one I want, and secondly, if you win the game for Mummy, she will see that you are better than Uncle Charles," Justin said to Xavier, and immediately he smiled at him while shaking his head in disbelief.
"Well, I don't need to win the game in order to prove that I'm better than Uncle Charles; I'm already far better than him, and he too knows it, but since you insist on me playing the game, let me go and play it," Xavier said to Justin before walking towards the game center.
As they were approaching the game center, they could already hear Charles asking Sarah if it wouldn't be better to buy the prize they would get if they won the game since he wasn't able to win it.
Smiling at Charlesstatement, Xavier approached them before asking, "What about you if I win it for you?"
Once Charles turned around and saw Xavier and Justin, he immediately frowned at them.
"Mummy," Justin called out to Sarah before running towards her and hugging her.
"Hey, my baby boy, how are you?" Sarah asked Justin after they had disengaged from the hug.
"I'm fine, Mummy. What prize are you trying to win?" Justin asked Sarah.
"It's the bunny, but the game is very difficult," Sarah said to him.
"I want the big car over there; since Uncle Charles can't win the game, what about if Daddy wins it for us?" Justin asked Sarah, and immediately she raised her head and looked at Xavier, who was maintaining a smiling face, and Charles, who was glaring daggers at Xavier, and with that, she returned her gaze towards Justin before smiling at him.
"Are you sure your dad knows how to play it?" Sarah asked Justin while removing the strands of hair on his face.
"Yes, of course, Daddy is good at everything," Justin said to Sarah confidently before looking at Charles, who was fuming in anger.
"Dad, please win the game for Mummy and me," Justin said to Xavier, who was still maintaining a smiling face.
"Alright, my champion," Xavier said to Justin before smirking at Charles and picking up the two remaining arrows. With that, he closed one of his eyes in order to have a proper target, and after some minutes of silence, he threw the first arrow, which landed on the red dot in the middle. With that, he threw the second, which landed beside the red dot, which was the corresponding target for the car Justin had requested.
"Yes, Justin cheered happily, and with that, the game manager came and handed the two prizes to Justin, who was still jubilating while ignoring Charles angry glare.
After receiving the prizes, Justin took the bunny and wanted to hand it to Sarah, but he was interrupted by Charles, who immediately screamed, "No!!"
