Chapter 69: Rescuing My Boss' Son
It was a cold afternoon in New York City; unlike other days, the atmosphere has been very cool until the afternoon, contrary to other days.
Meanwhile, in Golden School, which is one of the biggest schools in New York and also the school that Justin frequented, the noises of the kids could be heard as they were all busy discussing with each other, some complaining about every single issue to the male teacher, who was already tired of solving the issues of the little children, and also asking them to keep quiet.
Knowing that it would soon be three o'clock, he ignored them and focused his attention on the books he was marking. Being used to their noise, he didn't have any difficulties marking the books despite the noises.
As he was still busy marking the books, the dismissal alarm started ringing, and immediately the kids stood up and started arranging the books and other items inside their school bags, including Justin.
"Don't forget to do your homework before coming tomorrow," the teacher said to his pupils as they were busy parking their belongings in their school bags.
"Okay, Uncle," they all replied in unison.
"You are all free to go; don't forget to always be good kids at home," the teacher said to the kids who were already trooping out of the class.
Once Justin came out, he immediately started heading outside, knowing that Richard would already be waiting for him outside, but when he came out, he noticed that he hadn't arrived yet.
Actually, he was held back a little bit by a little traffic jam.
When Justin noticed that Richard hadn't arrived yet, he stood in front of the road and looked around for some minutes to see if he would arrive, but when there was no sign of him, he turned to go back into the school, but a van abruptly pulled over before him, and immediately a man whose face was covered with a mask came down from the van and grabbed him and pulled him into the van, and with that, the van zoomed off, leaving everyone astonished.
At the same time, Richard, who saw the scene from afar, immediately followed after the van from behind, and at the same time, he tried copying the plate number of the van, which he couldn't see clearly due to his low vision, and in addition to that, he wasn't putting on his glasses.
As Richard was still following the van from behind while trying to keep up with it's speed, a long trailer made its way out of the street on the opposite side of the road, but despite seeing the long trailer, the van didn't stop; instead, the driver increased his speed and crossed over before the trailer could fully make its way out. Unfortunately, Richard could not cross over; he had to stop so that the long trailer would pass before he continued.
"Damnit," Richard muttered while tightening his grip on the steering wheel.
Meanwhile, Xavier was inside his office, packing his remaining belongings that were in the office since Sarah would be taking over in a few days.
As he was busy packing his belongings and arranging them in the carton he brought along, his phone started ringing, and without hesitating, he took it from his pocket and checked the caller ID, which was the headmistress of Justin's school. With that, he picked up the call and placed it on his ear.
"Good afternoon, sir. It's Mr. Xavier on the line, right?" The headmistress asked Xavier.
"Yes, it's me," Xavier said to her.
"I'm happy to hear that, sir, some masked men abducted Justin just a few minutes ago," she said to Xavier.
"What!!" Xavier exclaimed in surprise.
"We are so sorry, sir; we have informed the police about it; they are already searching for him." The headmistress said this to Xavier, who hung up the call without giving her any reply.
Sighing heavily, he placed a call on Ben, who picked up after some minutes of ringing.
"Hello, Ben, where are you?" Xavier asked him.
"I'm behind the van, sir; I want to see where they are taking him," Ben said to Xavier.
"Happy to hear that. Just be careful out there. Also, share your location with me. I will join you in a few minutes," Xavier said to Ben.
"Okay, boss, I will send it to you right away," Ben said to him before hanging up.
Once he hung up, Xavier immediately took his car key and started heading towards the elevator, and at the same time, he received a notification on his phone from Ben, who had sent him the screenshot.
Meanwhile, Ben kept on following the van from behind with a bike while making sure that they didn't realize that he was following them. After some minutes of driving, they narrowed through a lonely road that led them to an old warehouse.
Once they stopped the van and were about to bring Justin out, Ben, who was some distance away from them, gased his bike and started speeding towards the car. Once the men saw him, they immediately pushed Justin inside the van, and at the same time, Ben, who was almost near the van, threw two grenades into the van through the window before speeding off.
"What the hell is that?" One of the men who saw Ben throwing something inside the van asked the driver.
"Get off the car; it's a gre," the driver screamed in horror when he saw the two grenades laying beside him on the passenger seat.
Without thinking twice, the men started struggling to get off the van, and at the same time, Ben, who had parked his bike some meters away from the van, walked towards the van with his gun that had a silencer.
Once the driver jumped off the car, Ben shot him down, and at the same time, he shot down two of the men who had struggled to come out of the van.
With that, he slowly walked towards the entrance of the van while keeping his guard, but once he looked inside, he saw one of the men holding Justin tightly with his gun pointed at Justin's head.
To be continued...
