Chapter 65: Marriage Proposal

It was almost six pm, Charles had just returned back to the company, once he got into his office he saw Adrian sitting on his chair as usual with his two legs placed on his desk and contrary to when he left everything in his office has been arranged and returned back in their normal places. Despite seeing him Adrian still sat on Charles' chair and continued manipulating his phone while ignoring his presence. "Soon I will be leaving this office for you, you might as well become the CEO," Charles said to Adrian who raised his head and looked at him for some minutes before bringing his two legs down from the desk and standing up. "Anyday you are ready to make the new CEO just let me know, the position suits me after all," Adrian said to Charles while ignoring his angry glare. "That will only be in your dreams," Charles said to him before shoving him off the road and sitting down on his chair and with that Adrian sat down on the chair opposite him. "Thank you for helping me to arrange my office," Charles said to him after sitting down. "Don't mention it, I'm your personal assistant, so helping you with things like this is no big deal. By the way were you able able to talk things over with Sarah?" Adrian said to her. "Actually I haven't talked things over with her yet, but I have put everything under control," Charles said to Adrian who furrowed his brows at him while wondering what he meant by what he said. "If I may ask, how did you put things under control?" Adrian asked Charles with a furrowed brows. "Just have a little patience, you will soon understand. The old said that he has been the one coming up with the good plans lately but just wait and see how this plan of mine is going to work out," Charles said to Adrian who nodded in reply. "Well I love surprises, I can't wait to see the mega plan you have come up with," Charles said to Adrian who was still grinning ear to ear. "By the way, the old man called," Charles said to Adrian. "Really? What does he want this time around?" Adrian asked him. "He asked me to proceed with the second part of the plan," Charles said to Adrian. "What? Already?" Adrian asked Charles. "That's also what I asked him, it's too earlier. It's not even up to a month since we started dating," Charles said to Adrian. "I hope you didn't agree?" Adrian asked Charles. "Of course I did, it's not as if I had a choice," Charles said to Adrian who sighed heavily. "But don't worry, if everything goes as planned, I will be taking care of everything this evening," Charles said to Adrian. "I don't know what you are planning in that head of yours, but I can't wait to see it," Charles said to Adrian. "Well you are going to see it in some minutes," Charles said to Adrian and at the same time his phone started ringing, without hesitating he took and checked the caller ID before smiling at himself and picking it up. "Hello sir, she's here," the caller said to Charles through the phone. "Okay thanks a lot," Charles said to the caller before hanging up and immediately he turned his gaze towards Adrian who was looking at him like a psycho. "It's action time," Charles said to Adrian before standing up and and taking his briefcase. "Let's go," Charles said to Adrian who furrowed his brows at him. "Go where?" Adrian asked him with a furrowed brows. "Will you please stop asking questions and do as I said?" Charles asked Adrian who sighed heavily before standing up and following Charles who had already walked out of his office. "Get your briefcase," Charles said to him once they got to the front of his office. 'Is that also necessary?" Adrian asked him with a furrowed brows. "Yes it is and stop asking questions for crying out loud," Charles said to Adrian who hissed before entering into his office and taking his briefcase and following Charles from behind. After walking for some minutes, Charles and Adrian came to the reception area and that was when Adrian understood what Charles was up to. At the reception area was Sarah who was busy discussing with the receptionist, probably she was telling the receptionist that she wanted to see the CEO. "The CEO is right behind you," the receptionist said to Sarah who turned around only to meet Charles standing behind her with a hardened face and beside him was Adrian. "What are you doing here?" Charles asked Sarah who was still staring at him while thinking what she was going to say to him. "Bro I forgot my phone in my office, let me go get it," Adrian said to Charles before walking away leaving Sarah and Charles behind. "Can we go to your office and talk?" Sarah asked Charles and immediately he shook his head negatively. "Whatever you want to say, you are free to say it here," Charles said to Sarah and immediately she sighed heavily. "I wanted to tell you that I'm sorry, I shouldn't have allowed Xavier to hold me like that," Sarah said to Charles in a whisper so that the people around won't hear what she was saying. "I can't hear you," Charles said to Sarah and immediately she sighed heavily before glaring at him angrily and with that Charles furrowed his brows at her. "I said I'm sorry, I shouldn't have hurt you," Sarah said to Charles while raising her and immediately the people turned and started looking at them while others started whispering things among themselves. With that Charles looked at her before smiling at her. "Are you forgiving me or not?" Sarah asked Charles who was still grinning ear to ear and without giving her any reply he knelt down before and brought a little box from the side pocket of his suit and immediately everyone around gasped in surprise while others brought out there phones and started videoing what was about to happen.
