Chapter 124: Be Expecting My Gift Very Soon

After getting to Italy, the first thing Charles did was rent a hotel where he could spend a day or two before buying a house and moving in permanently. Going through his new social media handle, he could see the news of his wedding with Sarah trending in New York City; happily, the news hasn't reached Italy yet, so he was safe, and that is because it isn't an English country. That was one of the main reasons why he fled to Italy at the first place, so he won't have to go around hiding his face so that no one will recognize him as the guy being talked about on television and every social media handle. In addition to that, he also has many underworld business partners in Italy, so it would be very easy for him to establish in Italy. Getting established was his main objective in the meantime; sooner or later, the old man was going to come after him, and there's no way he's going to be able to defend himself against him if he isn't established. Aside from the old man is Xavier, if he's now in hiding, it's all thanks to him, and there's no way he's not going to get back at him. As soon as he takes care of the old man, he's going to be the next on the list, and when he has finally gotten rid of them all, then there's nothing that is going to prevent him from claiming Sarah back. Without hesitating, Adrian and the men started heading to the suite, and on getting to the front of the suite, they inserted the key into the keyhole and slowly opened, and at the same time, the men who came with Adrian brought out their guns and barged into the room, but to their greatest surprise, there was no sign of Charles in the room. Using his hand, Adrian directed the men to check the bathroom and every other corner in the suite, and at the same time, his eyes landed on the window that was slightly opened, and without hesitating, he rushed towards the window to check if Charles had escaped from the window, which he knew wasn't possible. They were on the third floor, so there's no way he's going to jump out through the window unless he wants to die, and aside from that, he wasn't aware that they were coming for him. Getting to the window and looking down, he saw someone putting on a black suit and a black hat, which was covering his whole face, and at the same time holding luggage. Due to the fact that he can't see the person's face, he couldn't yet conclude that it was Charles, but deep down he had the feeling that it was him, and the person also looked familiar even from the back. As he was still looking at the person to confirm if it was Charles or not, the person slowly turned around, and just as he had expected, it was Charles. Once their gaze met, Charles smirked at him before showing him the middle of his finger, and with that, he covered his face and started walking away while drawing his luggage along, and at the same time Adrian alerted the men with him and was about to run out of the suite, but it suddenly exploded with him and the men inside. Meanwhile, the old man was about to go to bed when his phone started ringing. Heaving a sigh, he walked to the table where the phone was and took it to check the caller ID, but it was from an unknown number, which made him frown. Picking up the phone, he placed it on his ear and waited for the person who was calling to talk first. "Good evening, sir. How are you doing?" Charles's voice sounded through the phone, causing the old man to frown more. "Charles, so you are still alive, and everything you did, you still have the guts to call me?" The old man asked him while trying to suppress his anger. "Yes, I'm still alive, and I wanted to let you know that I saw the gift you sent to me, and I really loved it, so be preparing to receive mine very soon," Charles said to him before hanging up. Once he hanged up, the old man immediately placed a call across Adrian to ask him what was still preventing him from doing what he asked him to do, but Adrian's phone wasn't going through, and when he tried calling that of the guards that accompanied him, theirs too weren't going through.
